Germany international Neuer, 25, has been repeatedly linked with both Bayern and Manchester United this season, and he says his future has now been resolved.
"The decision has been taken," he said after the 1-1 draw at Werder Bremen. "The people who need to know already know. This has all been settled."
Bayern president Uli Hoeness, who is seen to be central to the attempts to sign the goalkeeper, added in Bild: "I know his decision. He must see what happens."
Munchner Merkur quoted an unnamed Bayern executive as saying that "it is clear Neuer will play for Bayern", while general manager Christian Nerlinger said in Suddeutsche Zeitung: "There is a clear direction. The question now is how quickly the agreement will be reached."
Schalke general manager Horst Heldt, though, claimed Bayern have yet to make an offer and that Neuer could remain at the club.
"Manuel has given us his thoughts," he said. "There is no final decision as yet because he has a contract until 2012 and there hasn't been an offer from Bayern.
"We won't delay the announcement of the decision [on his future] forever, but now isn't the right time."
Schalke are currently gearing up for a Champions League semi-final clash with Manchester United and have secured a place in the DFB-Pokal final.
