Alexandre Pato has reached a verbal agreement with Chelsea, according to reports in Brazil.

It is understood he has a number of representatives and they have been desperate, for a succession of transfer windows, to get the former AC Milan star into a Premier League club.

Sky Sports News HQ is currently investigating whether an agreement has been reached with the Blues who, according to the Mirror, met with Pato and his agents in London on Tuesday night.

Pato's current club Corinthians have publicly stated that they want the 25-year-old to move on.

Once touted as Brazil's next rising star, Pato has 27 caps and 10 goals for his country but he has not made a Brazil squad since 2013.

He signed for AC Milan in 2007 from Internacional and scored 16 Serie A goals in 43 performances but struggled towards the end of a five-year spell and returned to Brazil with Corinthians in January 2013.

Corinthians moved him out to Sao Paulo on loan for the 2014-15 season and he scored 19 times in 59 games.

據巴西《ESPN》報道，車路士與哥連泰斯前鋒柏圖（Alexandre Pato）已完成口頭協議，只要柏圖動筆簽約就會正式落實這宗轉會。報道又指，柏圖的經理人與油王副手嘉諾絲卡雅（Marina Granovskaia）展開長時間談判後，預計這名前AC米蘭前鋒，將以900萬鎊轉會費轉投藍軍，簽約3年。

26歲的柏圖因傷患問題，被逼返回巴甲打滾，至今替聖保羅及哥連泰斯合共上陣61場，但自11月以來已經倦勤，狀態仍有待提升。即使車路士在未來幾日落實羅致柏圖，相信未能趕及周日對阿仙奴的時候上陣。

柏圖外號「小鴨」，於2012年飽受傷患困擾下離開AC米蘭，早前開腔表示希望重返歐洲球壇，車路士、利物浦和熱刺等英超球會都與他扯上關係，據悉他更以低價「促銷」，只要求球會每周付出4萬鎊周薪。

Chelsea are discussing a £7million transfer fee with Corinthians for Alexandre Pato.
The Brazil striker is willing to take a pay cut and has agreed a three-year deal in principle. Corinthians had wanted around £12m for the 26-year-old who will still need to gain a work permit.
Known as 'The Duck,' Pato's arrival could signal the departure of Loic Remy as Chelsea have interest from Spartak Moscow in the Frenchman.

Chelsea held talks with Pato's representatives and Corinthians on Tuesday night with Marina Granovskaia - club director and adviser to Roman Abramovich - instrumental in negotiations.
Agreement on the three-year deal is understood to have been delayed while Pato’s agent, Gilmar Veloz, was in China trying to sell fellow Brazilian striker Luiz Adriano from AC Milan to Jiangsu Suning only for that deal to fall through.
If details can be finalised, the deal should be signed off before the end of the week.
Meanwhile, disappointing forward Radamel Falcao's loan agreement at Chelsea will also be assessed in the coming days as he returns to fitness.
Blues defender Branislav Ivanovic will sign his new one-year contract on Thursday while Bertrand Traore is wanted on loan by Marseille.
The Burkina Faso international also has interest from Ajax and Everton.
Talks are continuing with Ezequiel Lavezzi's representatives over a proposed move from Paris Saint-Germain which may be on a free transfer in the summer.

Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Alexandre Pato but clubs yet to finalise deal, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Brazilian has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Stamford Bridge which could mean Loic Remy is on his way out of the Premier League.
Chelsea have been in talks with Pato since last week and are interested in taking the Brazilian as a replacement for Radamel Falcao.
More negotiations have taken place this week and it is understood Pato has agreed to the terms that would be set out by Chelsea, with a three-year contract believed to have been mooted by the player’s camp.

Sources at Corinthians have informed Sky Sports News HQ that a deal is in place with Chelsea to take Alexandre Pato to Stamford Bridge.

But interim Blues manager Guus Hiddink has reservations about concluding a deal in the current transfer window.

Sky Sports understand the agreement to sign the player, who is on loan at Sao Paulo, was reached when Jose Mourinho was still in charge at Chelsea.

The Brazilian club remain hopeful that Pato's future will be sorted in the next 48 hours.

Chelsea face competition from a club in Portugal who are also believed to have agreed a deal with Corinthians, but it's thought the player prefers a move to the Premier League.

It is understood Sporting Lisbon is not the Portuguese club in question, despite being offered Pato by the striker's representatives.

Sources at Corinthians have revealed Alexandre Pato’s deal with Chelsea is now finalised.

Sky Sports News HQ understands the Brazilian will move to Stamford Bridge on a six-month loan deal, with an option of permanent transfer in the summer.

The same sources told us yesterday that interim Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink had reservations about signing Pato.

Chelsea are yet to comment on the reported transfer.

Brazilian striker Pato's six-month loan move from Corinthians to Chelsea has been finalised, according to Sky sources in Brazil.

The Blues have agreed terms with the 26-year-old, with an option to make the move permanent in the summer transfer window.

Pato's current club Corinthians had reportedly stated they wanted the forward to move on and they now have their wish, although the deal has not yet been officially confirmed by Chelsea.

Once touted as Brazil's next rising star, Pato has 27 caps and 10 goals for his country but he has not made a Brazil squad since 2013.

He signed for AC Milan in 2007 from Internacional and scored 16 Serie A goals in 43 performances but struggled towards the end of a five-year spell and returned to Brazil with Corinthians in January 2013.

Earlier this month, Pato was linked with a move to the Chinese Super League but turned it down in order to pursue a return to Europe.

In September, the player claimed he had been offered the chance to sign for Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

"Two hours before [the window closed] I had a very good offer from Manchester United," Pato told Sportv, although he did not give any further details of the proposed deal.
