Brazil squad announced for Sept international. Includes nine PL players. As previously advised, South America playing triple headers in Sept + Oct, final game on Thursdays. Given time difference, hard to believe any player can realistically be involved in PL on 11/9 (eight games)
Additionally, was told earlier today there could be a quarantine issue for players returning to England from South America. Is a FIFA date so clubs would have to release but evidently a huge mess.
CONMEBOL asked for three days extra in window, FIFA agreed to two. FIFA understand problem for clubs and sympathetic but in this cycle have to try and facilitate games and South America behind Europe hence need to play more matches - inc January.
As it is,
@LFC , @ManCity, @ManUtd, @ChelseaFC, @Everton + @LUFC have a problem to deal with. And that's just Brazil. Thursday night games in South America effectively Friday morning finish UK time.
