Arsenal will have to wait until Friday to find out if Gabriel will face any punishment for his behaviour after being sent off against Chelsea, Sky Sports News HQ understands.
The defender had until six o'clock on Thursday evening to respond to his Football Association charge of improper conduct - and could yet face a ban, even though the original red card and accompanying three-match suspension have been rescinded. The defender was charged for refusing to leave the field promptly when he was dismissed by referee Mike Dean after a confrontation with Diego Costa during Chelsea's 2-0 victory.
Following the game, Costa, meanwhile, was found guilty of violent conduct and banned for three matches following a clash with Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny.
In addition, both clubs were charged with failing to control their players during the game and both had until 6pm on Thursday to respond.
