Real Sociedad are in advanced talks with Barcelona midfielderJonathon Dos Santos, who they see as a replacement for AsierIllaramendi, who joined Real Madrid last week.The Basque club immediately began their search for areplacement at the weekend and contacted Barcelona once Illaramendi’sexit had been confirmed and they are now said to be close to a deal withthe Mexican international.Barcelona are due to begin pre-season training onTuesday but it is expected that Dos Santos will not take part and couldbe a Sociedad player by the end of the week.
Any deal though, is expected to include a move backto Barca once a contract expires with Dos Santos’ desire to remain intouch with the Catalan club.
Meanwhile, his brother Giovani, recently made a move too, swapping relegated Mallorca with newly promoted Villarreal.
