Barnetta joins Frankfurt on loan

Tranquillo Barnetta will play for Eintracht Frankfurt until the end ofthis season after signing a loan deal with the Europa League outfituntil 30 June 2014.

The 28-year-old Switzerland internationaljoined the Royal Blues on a free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen in thesummer of 2012 and has made a total of 22 Bundesliga appearances for theclub to date.

Barnetta has also featured seven times in theChampions League and played in four DFB Cup ties. The midfielder has notscored in a competitive game for the Royal Blues.
