Andrea Pirlo, 34, has been named the best player in Itay for the third season running, with six of his Juventus team-mates joining him in the Serie A all-star XI. Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo has been named the best player in Serie A for the third consecutive year during Monday's Gran Gala del Calcio organised by the Association of Italian Footballers. "It's always a pleasure to win this award, it means I manage to stay at top level year after year," the 34-year-old Italy playmaker, one of seven of Juventus's record-breaking side included in the 2013/14 XI.
The Bianconeri won the Scudetto for the third consecutive time with an unprecedented 102 points, also reaching the UEFA Europa League semi-finals.
