Ferreira Carrasco a step closer to Atlético



On Tuesday Atlético de Madrid took a large step closer to signing Yannick Ferreira Carrasco in a deal that could be completed this week, with the 'Rojiblancos' keen to bring in the winger as soon as possible.
Atlético were in constant contact with Monaco all day over the phone - so far it has not proven necessary to travel to the Principality -and now have an agreement in principle for the Belgium international.

Ferreira Carrasco is really excited about the idea of playing for Atlético.
He has been keen on the move for some time and remains so, despite the 2013-14 La Liga winners targeting Nico Gaitán as their first choice to replace Arda Turan.
The Argentine was a player Diego Simeone expressly requested, but contact was also made with the Belgian starlet just in case.
