New deal for Ake NEWS 7 MINUTES
Nathan Ake has today signed a new five-year contract with Chelsea. The 20-year-old will continue his development by spending this season on loan in the Premier League at Watford. The Dutch Under-21 international arrived at Chelsea in July 2011, lifting the FA Youth Cup in his first season before making his first-team debut on Boxing Day 2012 as a substitute away at Norwich City. He also helped us to the Under-21 league title in 2014.
Ake featured five times for the Blues in four competitions last season, while also spending a month on loan at Reading in the Championship.
