Swansea have completed the signing of highly-rated Chelsea winger Scott Sinclair on a three-year deal.
The 21-year-old, who is well known to Swans' boss Brendan Rodgers from his days at Stamford Bridge, joins the Championship club for an initial fee of £500,000, which could rise to over £1 million with appearances and performance-related add-ons.
Sinclair came through the ranks at Bristol Rovers before moving to Chelsea as a 16-year-old, but he failed to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge and enjoyed just one start, with another four appearances coming from the bench.
He spent time on loan at a remarkable six clubs between 2007-10, including Plymouth, Queens Park Rangers, Charlton, Crystal Palace, Birmingham City and last season at Wigan, where he scored once in 18 Premier League matches.
"Scott is obviously a player I know well and I am delighted to sign him," Rodgers told the club website. "He is a big talent and has been a sought-after player since he broke onto the scene.
"As far as I am concerned there is no better place for him than Swansea City.
"With this group of players, style of football and fantastic fans, this will be a great club for his development."
