The term people is the general plural of "person," and is used to refer to person plurally in a range from 'a few persons' up to 'all people' (cf. humanism). 補充返1樓, 即係數得到的就persons, 數唔到的就people.

eg. there are 8 persons in the queue; people are queueing up for xx.
eg. chinese people, british people, 用黎代替"ladies and gentlemen"嘅"people"

不過又補充返, 而家好多時通俗習慣下, "people"都用得比較所謂嘅"濫". even外國人都係. 所以oral就冇咩所謂. 但如果係學生d grammar, 咁就唔同.

如果學生程度唔高, FOR 考試用, 教佢地用哂PEOPLE 唔用PERSONS 可能更好

people可以係plural的...

指唔同種族(多於一個種族)既人

person我通常都係用0係一D我見到﹐或者我識既人身上
people會係一班或者某一種族既人
