Event description:
It is well publicised that modern sports are no longer just about what is happening on the pitch or track. Teams, clubs and even leagues are now huge global institutions, with international reach and millions of fans world wide.
As well as being big business, sports represents a unique opportunity to be involved in community development and to contribute to a number of educational and other CSR programmes: Are these real projects or thinly veiled marketing opportunities?
Fran Jones, Head of International Development at Premier League title contender Tottenham Hotspur, joins us to discuss sports marketing and management as well as exploring the boundaries between sport and the community.
