Official: Valencia sign Almeria's Diego Alves on four-year deal

Valencia have announced the signing of Almeria goalkeeper Diego Alves on a four-year deal.
The 25-year-old is believed to have cost the La Liga club around ?3 million, a discount fee due to Almeria's relegation from Spain's top tier.
Diego Alves, who has represented Brazil at youth level, is reunited with former Almeria coach Unai Emery and will compete with Vicente Guaita for the number 1 shirt.
Veteran goalkeeper Cesar Sanchez has joined Villarreal on a free transfer while Miguel Angel Moya is believed to be close to confirming a move to Getafe.
Diego Alves is delighted to join Valencia and told the club's official website: "It's a dream to sign for a great European team, and one that is going to play in the Champions League."
The keeper, who has played 33 games this season, will be leaving the relegated side after four seasons and he will be featuring in the Champions League next term following Valencia's third place finish.
