Andres Guardado has announced that he will leave Deportivo La Coruna for Valencia in the summer transfer window.The Mexico international has long been linked with a move to Mestalla, and has now confirmed that he will join Los Che ahead of the 2012-13 campaign.
"I am now joining Valencia," Guardado was quoted as saying by Superdeporte.
"I am very grateful to Deportivo for giving me the opportunity. I have had five wonderful years here and want to thank the club and the fans for all their support."Valencia have yet to confirm the transfer of
the 25-year-old winger, who has an expiring contract with newly-promoted Deportivo, but an official announcement is expected later this week.
The imminent arrival of Guardado at Valencia could mean that Jordi Alba is on his way out of Los Che this summer. The wing-back is continually being linked with a move to Barcelona.
