Thiago out for seven weeks with torn ankle ligaments



Munich - Bad news for quadruple-champions FC Bayern Munich, as talented Spanish Under-21 international Thiago tore ankle ligaments in the 2-0 victory against 1. FC Nurnberg.

The midfielder will undergo an exploratory operation in Munich on Monday and will miss at least seven weeks of action, including important games against SC Freiburg, VfL Wolfsburg and FC Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga, as well as the UEFA Super Cup Final against Chelsea FC in Prague.



Obvious discomfort
