Ter Stegen has been an ever-present in the Borussia team since making his senior debut towards the end of the 2010/11 season, when his excellent displays helped the club avoid dropping into Bundesliga 2 via the relegation play-off.
Since then, the Monchengladbach-born stopper, who joined the Foals at the age of five, has gone on to make 91 Bundesliga appearances for Borussia, as well as win three caps for the German national team.
