Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is apparently ready to quit the Gunners if he fails to guide the Emirates Stadium side to a top four finish AND an FA Cup Final triumph according to
Goal.com.
Wenger, who is closing in on 18 years as Arsenal manager, has reportedly told friends that he will leave the club if he fails to meet his own personal targets.
The 64 year old’s contract expires this summer but is considering calling it a day and the ‘toxic’ atmosphere emanating from the stands is apparently a factor in his decision making process.
Arsenal fans are understandably unhappy about their side’s nine year silverware drought and the next four matches will seemingly decide Wenger’s fate.
The north London club face home fixtures with Newcastle United and West Brom before finishing the Premier League season with a trip to Norwich City before facing Hull City in the FA Cup final having beaten the Tigers 3-0 last weekend.

Arsene Wenger is sensationally preparing to quit as
Arsenal manager if the team fail to meet his targets over the next month,

Wengerhas told friends he is considering bringing an end to his 18-yearGunners reign if they do not win the FA Cup and finish in the top fourof the Premier League.
The bombshell has been delivered in recent days and is the firmestindication yet that the club's longest-serving manager could abruptlyleave within four weeks.
It would be a huge blow to Arsenalchiefs, who agreed a two-year contract extension with Wenger as far backas last October and have continued to give the Frenchman theirunwavering support.
Goal understands that the board has begunexploring several 'short-term' contingency plans in the event thatWenger calls time on his tenure.
Chief executive Ivan Gazidissaid in January that the hierarchy were "comfortable and relaxed" aboutthe fact the manager's deal was due to expire in the summer. "Arsenewill be extending with us. And at the right time we will make thatannouncement," said Gazidis.
However, Wenger is believed to havebeen struck by the toxic atmosphere in the stands in recent times, asArsenal supporters grow restless at the nature of defeats against thePremier League's elite clubs on top of the nine-year trophy drought.
Therehave been a series of occasions in the last six months when there hasbeen a signal from within the club that Wenger was about to formallysign the new £7.5 million-a-year contract that has remained on thetable.
But each time the manager made a U-turn and put his future beyond this season on hold.
Theresults of the last four matches of the season, which culminate in theFA Cup final against Hull City on May 17, are now set to determinewhether the Frenchman formally commits to a deal that would extend hisreign to a remarkable 20 years.
As reported by Goal last week,those closest to Wenger had remained in the dark about the manager'sintentions following a series of catastrophic performances which hadleft Arsenal's attempts to qualify for the Champions League in majorjeopardy.
However, Wenger’s mood has improved of late,particularly in the wake of consecutive league victories over West Hamand Hull, both of which were relatively comfortable. He is said to beconfident that his dual ambitions will be achieved over the next monthand he will sign on for two more years.
Moreover, the board arecontinuing to plan under the proviso that Wenger will be in command nextseason, with the club whittling down their priority transfer targetlist, finalising scouting reports and holding meetings with agents.Equipment has also been bought for the training ground, with the managerfully involved in all the key decisions.
The uncertainty hasrepercussions for his backroom team, who have also been offered newagreements that mirror those of the manager and run until 2016.
Thekey assistants include Boro Primorac, assistant manager Steve Bould,first-team coach Neil Banfield, goalkeeper coach Gerry Peyton andfitness coach Tony Colbert.
Senior medical and technical staffhave also agreed deals that run until 2016, while more junior members ofWenger's backroom team are on 12-month rolling contracts.
It isunderstood the agreements are all in place and only need to be formallyrubber-stamped but Primorac, Colbert and Peyton are all likely to leaveshould Wenger make the shock decision to call time on his Arsenaltenure.
Should a change need to be made at the helm, it is expected that the appointment would be regarded as relatively short-term.
Wenger gave his squad two days off following Sunday’s win over Hull and is believed to have had a short break in Paris.
Theplayers will return to training at London Colney on Wednesday morningas they begin preparations for Monday's home match against NewcastleUnited.
