Immobile talks are progressing, say Dortmund The club deny that an agreement for a transfer has already been reached but indicated that a deal for last season's Serie A top scorer is in the offing Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has confirmed that the club have held promising talks over a deal for Torino's Ciro Immobile. The striker, who was
top scorer in Serie A in the 2013-14 campaign with 22 goals, has long been linked with a summer switch to Signal Iduna Park,
with
Jurgen Klopp claiming earlier this week that he would do "everything possible" to sign the 24-year-old. A move for the Italy international - who is part of Cesare Prandelli's provisional World Cup squad -
has always been complicated by the fact he is co-owned by Serie A champions Juventus. However,
reports emerged late on Thursday in Italy that both Juve and Torino - for whom Immobile was so impressive last season -
had reached an agreement over ownership rights and had subsequently finalised a deal to sell the striker to Dortmund for a fee of around ?19 million. Zorc was not willing to confirm that a transfer had been agreed, but he did confirm to Kicker that there had been "good talks" held between the parties concerned.
Immobile left Torino officials disgruntled earlier in the spring when he admitted publicly that he would be interested in a move to the 2012 Bundesliga champions
in order to secure Champions League football, though the Serie A outfit have always been adamant they wish to keep him.
Dortmund are in the market for offensive reinforcements after seeing Robert Lewandowski sign for rivals Bayern Munich
and have already reached an agreement to sign Adrian Ramos from Hertha this summer.

Immobile confirms Dortmund move Ciro Immobile has confirmed he will be joining Borussia Dortmund, saying that all he needs to do is sign the contract. The 24-year-old scored 22 goals for Torino this season in Serie A and it has earned him a move to the German giants. Speaking after Italy’s goalless draw with Republic of Ireland tonight,
the forward also expressed his sadness that Azzurri teammate Riccardo Montolivo will miss the World Cup following the tibia fracture he sustained this evening.
“I’m very sorry for Montolivo, we knew how much he was looking forward to the tournament,” Immobile said to Rai Sport. “We hope he can recover soon.
“The injury disrupted us a little, but it can’t be an excuse. We had some heavy legs and the emotion from what happened was weighing heavily on us.
“It’s done [the Dortmund deal], I said it a short while ago. All that’s waiting to be done is for me to sign the contract.” http://www.football-italia.net/49910/immobile-confirms-dortmund-move [ 此帖被羅力亞在2014-06-03 01:29重新編輯 ]
