Manchester United's Javier Hernandez suffers suspected broken collarbone



Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken collarbone.

The 27-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Real Madrid, injured himself in the 40th minute of Mexico's warm-up match against Honduras ahead of the Concacaf Gold Cup, colliding with opposition defender Brayan Beckeles.

Any significant injury will come as a blow to Hernandez, who is playing for his future at Old Trafford.

United plan to make a decision on the poacher when he returns from international duty, after Real Madrid declined to make last term's loan into a permanent signing.

Hernandez made just seven La Liga starts last season, and 16 substitute appearances, scoring seven league goals.

He was signed for United by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2010 and has 37 Premier League goals in 49 starts, six goals in 11 in the FA Cup, six in eight in the League Cup and 10 in 17 in the Champions League.

Hernandez has 40 goals in 74 appearances for Mexico.

Manchester United: Striker Javier Hernandez breaks collarbone

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez is set to miss the start of pre-season training after breaking a collarbone playing for Mexico against Honduras.

The 27-year-old sustained the injury during a warm-up game for the Gold Cup tournament, which he is likely to miss.

Hernandez has scored 59 goals in 154 games for United but is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer.

He spent last season on loan at Real Madrid but they opted against a deal.

While names of strikers linked with moves to Real Madrid continue to circulate, former Madrid man Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández is preparing for his participation in the Gold Cup with Mexico without knowing what his future holds.

The striker has a contract with Manchester United until 2016 but Van Gaal does not want him. The Mexican has three offers on the table.
The first is from Premier League club Liverpool, who have already paid ?40 million for Firmino. However, United may not want to sell him to a rival.

墨西哥足總於周四發表聲明，公佈這個令查維亞靴南迪斯（Javier Hernandez）球迷失望的消息：「查維亞靴南迪斯於今早順利完成手術，以兩片金屬片固定其鎖骨，預計很快就可康復，希望是4星期的時間。」小豆是於周三墨西哥友賽悶和洪都拉斯的上半場與敵衛碧基利斯相撞，離場後即時送往醫院接受治理，

小豆退隊後，主帥米基爾靴里拉隨即補召拉根拿鋒將奧路斯高。本屆由美國及加拿大合辦的美洲金盃，將於下周二展開，墨西哥被編入C組，同組對手包括危地馬拉、古巴及千里達。該隊首戰是下周四鬥古巴。
