England stars Dele Alli and Luke Shaw also make the 40-man shortlist for the award which was won by Raheem Sterling last year
The 40-man shortlist for the 2015 European Golden boy has been leaked. The award is given to the best young player, under the age of 21, plying their trade in Europe. Manchester City star Raheem Sterling won the prize last year and there are as many as THIRTEEN Premier League players hoping to follow suit this term. Among those listed are Manchester United duo Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw, Arsenal's Hector Bellerin and Liverpool pair Jordon Ibe and Divock Origi.
Tottenham's Dele Alli also makes the cut after his impressive season at White Hart Lane.
Chelsea duo Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nathan Ake (on loan at Watford) feature, as does Manchester City rising star Kelechi Iheanacho.
Aston Villa's Adama Traore is also on the shortlist - as are Adnan Januzaj, Jason Denayer and Mario Pasalic, all loaned out by Premier League clubs.
While there are plenty of English-based players in the running, there are some strong candidates including Kingsley Coman, Youri Tielemans and Liverpool target Ruben Neves.
The award, selected by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, has some star names on its past winners' list including Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Cesc Fabregas.
Wayne Rooney was the winner in 2004, before Anderson and Mario Balotelli lifted the gong in 2008 and 2011 respectively while they were in the Premier League.
