Barcelona forwards Lionel Messi and Neymar are doubts for the Fifa Club World Cup final against River Plate.
Both players missed Thursday's 3-0 semi-final win over Guangzhou Evergrande, where fellow frontman Luis Suarez scored a hat-trick.
"They are both are getting better," said boss Luis Enrique, who would not confirm if they would play.Barca want a fifth trophy of 2015, having won the Champions League, La Liga, Copa del Rey and Uefa Super Cup.
Captain Andres Iniesta, who has won the tournament twice with Barca, said: "The final is 50-50. We are going into the game with a lot of desire.
"Two good teams are meeting and we expect a very, very tough game.
"River Plate worry us as a block. I think they are a strong team and they have quality players."
Argentina's River, who qualified as Copa Libertadores winners, beat Japanese champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima 1-0 in their semi-final.
Boss Marcelo Gallardo, the former Monaco, Paris St-Germain and Argentina midfielder, called the final an "emblematic game" for the Buenos Aires club.
"It would have to be a perfect game for us to have any chance," he said.
"They are a very complete team, it's a big challenge for us and we are going to have to play very intelligently and be very intense to have a chance."
River, who won the old Intercontinental Cup in 1986, were in the Argentine second tier in 2011-12.
"They have the best players and we have a big heart," said Gallardo, who has been in charge for 18 months. "For the history of Argentine football and for our institution, this is one of the most important games.
"It hasn't been easy to get here. The last few years have been difficult and now we are in a privileged situation."
