Massimiliano Allegri signs new Juventus contract until 2018 Last Updated: 06/05/16 6:54pm
Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until 2018. Allegri recently secured his second Serie A title in two seasons at Juve and made it five-in-a-row for Italian football's dominant club. And for a second straight year his work has been rewarded with a 12-month extension. "Coaching Juventus is a great challenge and a big responsibility," Allegri said. "The aim is always to win here.
"How can we get better? In the way we build the play, while individual players must keep improving too."
Juve general manager Giuseppe Marotta said: "Today's contract extension was a formality. He has won back-to-back titles.
"I think the club deserves credit for identifying a top coach and providing him with daily support as he's gone about his business."
Allegri was linked with the Chelsea job earlier this year before the appointment of Antonio Conte, his predecessor in Turin, was confirmed.
