No bids for Gourcuff, insists Bordeaux presidentYoann Gourcuff will not be leaving for Lyon, Manchester City or any other club this summer - according to Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud.
Triaud insisted that the club have received no offers for Gourcuff and remains confident that the France playmaker can put the misery of a cataclysmic World Cup behind him.
"For now, I have not received any bids," the Bordeaux chief told RMC. "But I have read estimates of [Lyon president] Jean-Michel Aulas on the price of Yoann. Moreover, I understand that the coffers are nearly empty at Lyon. All this makes me smile."
"Otherwise, I think that before the start of the World Cup, Manchester City were very hot on him. In contrast, Yoann was less interested."
"Yoann has personality and character," he said. "He came back relaxed and happy to be here. Recently in a friendly match against Warsaw, he immediately showed great enthusiasm.
"Last season, he had some physical problems, but now he returns with much desire."
