Barcelona Coach Pep Guardiola Rules Out Move For Arsenal's Jack Wilshere
Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has insisted that he won't be making any attempts to sign Jack Wilshere after the youngster impressed in Arsenal's 2-1 win over his side in the Champions League last Wednesday.
The 19-year-old was named man of the match in the clash at the Emirates and has since been linked with a move to the Catalan giants, having seen his stock rise rapidly so far this season.
Guardiola praised Wilshere but laughed off suggestions that he was lining up a bid for the young midfielder, as well as hinting that Barcelona won't be attempting to sign anybody from the Emirates, including Cesc Fabregas.
He said: "He [Wilshere] is a great player - a great player for Arsenal and in any case, Arsene Wenger doesn't sell his best players.
"Arsenal are a wonderful side. You will not hear me discredit Arsenal - they are a great side with a great coach and they will be a very difficult opponent. It will be a great game against a great team."
