Arsenal closing in on £50m trioArsenal are moving closer to a £50 million trio of signings with Alexis Sanchez, Mathieu Debuchy and Loic Remy all on the brink of joining the club.
Barcelona forward Sanchez has long been a target for Arsene Wenger, with the Frenchman intent on improving his attacking options this summer.
Sanchez has opted to join Arsenal ahead of Juventus and Liverpool and, according to the Daily Mail, the player's representatives are in London to thrash out personal terms and conclude a deal.
Barcelona were hoping Sanchez would swap the Nou Camp for Liverpool in a bid to reduce the outright fee they will pay for Luis Suarez.
However, Sanchez's rejection of a move to Anfield is not expected to affect the Suarez transfer. Barcelona are prepared to meet the £70-80m fee thought to be included in the striker's buyout clause without a part-exchange deal, while Arsenal are ready to pay the £30m asking price for Sanchez.
Arsenal are also closing in on an £11m deal for Newcastle's Debuchy after the defender reportedly had a medical at the club on Monday.
Debuchy recently revealed to L'Equipe he was in talks over a move to north London and it is expected the right-back will replace Bacary Sagna, who left for Manchester City earlier this summer.
An £8m move for QPR striker Remy is said to be not so close with Remy's wage demands the stumbling block and no personal terms agreed.
Remy scored 14 goals while on loan at Newcastle last season and has been strongly linked with Arsenal, who have made signing a striker one of their priorities to provide support and back-up for Olivier Giroud.
QPR manager Harry Redknapp revealed in May that it would be difficult to keep hold of Remy because of the striker's determination to play in the Champions League and a release clause in his contract.
