Ronaldo limps off against Valladolid

Cristiano Ronaldo limped off in the first-half of Real Madrid's crucial La Liga match at Real Valladolid on Wednesday.

Valladolid's Humberto Osorio delivered a blow to Real Madrid's hopes of the title with a late goal as the match ended 1-1.

Ronaldo came off in the eighth minute at the Jose Zorilla Stadium without showing any clear signs of being in pain, just moments after his long run through the opponent's half came to an end when he clashed with a defender.

The Portugal international had recently been bothered by a left knee and left muscle injury, but had returned to play in Madrid's Champions League semifinal triumph over Bayern Munich.

Ronaldo has scored 50 goals this season in all competitions, including a league-leading 31 goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo limped off with a minor hamstring injury in the first half of Real Madrid's crucial La Liga match at Real Valladolid on Wednesday.

Early reports out of Spain said the injury should not endanger Ronaldo's chances of playing in this month's Champions League final or the World Cup.

Ronaldo felt a twinge while sprinting and decided to come off rather than risk missing the final in Lisbon on May 24, according to Marca. The Portuguese winner also withdrew from the team's final training session before the match.

"We will see in the coming days," Real manager Carlo Ancelotti said about Ronaldo's injury. "I do not think he has a big problem, just was not comfortable in the field. But he has not had any tears or anything."
