Sky Sports understands Crystal Palace are in talks to sign Blackburn Rovers defender Scott Dann. A number of clubs have been linked with a move for Dann, but Palace are hoping to win the race for his signature and he has arrived at Selhurst Park for talks.

Wolves have accepted a £3m bid from Crystal Palace for keeper Wayne Hennessey, according to Sky sources.

Palace boss Tony Pulis wants competition for keeper Julian Speroni and the experienced Hennessey fits the bill.

The 6'6" Wales international spent the first half of this season on loan at Yeovil.

If he does move to Palace, it will end a long association with Wolves - he has been at the club since 2005.

Midfielder arrives on three-and-a-half-year deal.

Brighton midfielder Liam Bridcutt has become Sunderland’s fifth signing of the January transfer window.

Bridcutt, 24, has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract on Wearside and arrives for an undisclosed fee.

The Scottish international is reunited with head coach Gus Poyet after the pair worked together at Brighton.

A former Chelsea trainee, Bridcutt cut his teeth with loan spells at Yeovil, Watford and Stockport, making a combined 37 appearances.

Poyet brought Bridcutt to Brighton on a permanent basis in August 2010 and the midfielder was soon established in the first team, winning promotion to the Championship at the end of his first season.

Bridcutt bagged the Seagulls’ Player of the Season award in both 2012 and 2013, making 151 appearances for the club overall and scoring two goals.

Born in Reading, Bridcutt qualifies for Scotland through his grandfather and made his international debut against Serbia in March 2013.

Transfer news: Aston Villa target Wes Hoolahan staying at Norwich

Wes Hoolahan will not be leaving Norwich, Sky Sports understands.

The Ireland international handed in a transfer request in early January amid interest from Aston Villa and has not featured for the Canaries since New Year's Day.

On Thursday afternoon, Hoolahan allegedly made derogatory comments about the Norfolk side to a television reporter, whose cameraman was on-hand to witness the incident.

Canaries boss Chris Hughton has promised to investigate that incident, but it now appears that playmaker Hoolahan will be staying at Carrow Road, at least until the end of the season.

Asked about the swearing incident on Thursday, Hughton said: "What you are telling me is news to me. It is not something I am aware of and is something I will have to investigate.

"What I have always been able to do is front the media on something I have knowledge of and can speak of in an appropriate and correct way.

"We know it is an unsettling time for players in that situation (out of the team), but it won't be the first or the last time you have to deal with situations like that, and it is my responsibility as the manager (to do so).

"There are always going to be procedures you have at the club, whether a player wants to go or whether the club want to keep that particular player.

"At this moment, Wes is very much a Norwich player."

Hoolahan is not expected to play any part when Norwich face potential relegation rivals Cardiff at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday.

Transfer News: Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez won't leave

Javier Hernandez's agent has confirmed that the Manchester United striker is staying put.

The Mexican has been linked with a possible exit from Old Trafford as he struggles to secure regular first-team football.

His agent Eduardo Hernandez has now claimed that he has shunned offers from Germany, Spain and France to remain with United.

He told Mexico's ESPN Deportes: "I had meetings with a few clubs, I won't name them nor their offers,


they are very interested in him. One of the top ten teams in the world are among those teams that were very interested in signing Javier.

"There was a club from Germany, one from France, and two from Spain and Italy each that want to have him.


However, he is under contract with Man Utd and he somehow has to respect it in case there is an agreement between the parties."

The agent was asked if he sees Hernandez at United after the next six months, and he added: "I couldn't say that for sure, football is dynamic

and his current situation could change tomorrow, so there are clubs that are interested, that like him a lot and trust him to succeed.

"He has achieved a high value in Europe's market and I can't say that there won't be anything concrete after the next six months. However, we do hope he gets minutes [on the pitch]."
