Transfer news: Middlesbrough sign Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given on a month's loan




Middlesbrough have moved to bring in Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given on a month's loan.

New Boro boss Aitor Karanka has swooped to sign former Republic of Ireland keeper Given on a tempoary basis to help fill the void by Jason Steele's
three-game ban following his red card against Leeds last weekend.


Given has found himself out of favour at Villa for the last 18 months with Brad Guzan establishing himself as No.1 keeper at Villa Park.
The 37-year-old has dropped down to third-choice in the pecking order this season following the arrival of Jed Steer in the summer
and Given has been looking for a move away in search of regular first-team football.


The former Newcastle keeper is expected to go straight into the Middlesbrough squad for this weekend's clash with Bolton.

估唔到係紐卡素坐住夏柏十幾年,去到臨尾果幾年仲撈得差過夏柏

講真，佢係紐卡素最後一、兩季都明顯見到佢走下坡，不過又好彩俾佢之後搵到曼城簽佢幾年，等佢最後可以搵返幾年高薪，其實都已經值得欣慰……
