Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has agreed personal terms with Arsenal - leaving the ball in Borussia Dortmund's court.

The Gunners want to sign the Gabonese hitman to replace Alexis Sanchez who is set to leave the Emirates in the coming days, with Manchester United his most likely destination.

And Mirror Football understands terms have been agreed with Aubameyang determined to force through the move after he was banished from the team for disciplinary reasons at the weekend.

The forward has told Dortmund there is no coming back from the incident which saw him miss their goalless draw with Wolfsburg on Sunday - his third internal suspension in just over 12 months.

Aubameyang has established himself as one of Europe's premier marksmen over the last few seasons and has been in incredible form in front of goal this term.

He has netted 13 times in just 15 Bundesliga outings adding another eight strikes in all competitions.

The disciplinary issue came after missing a team meeting, and Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said: "Auba has to talk to the coach and tell him whether he is ready to give everything for Borussia Dortmund.

"[Head coach] Peter Stoger and [sporting director] Michael Zorc will discuss it with him.

"I guess he understood [being dropped]. Let's see how it develops in the next days.

"For me it is just logical [that Aubameyang stays]. I expect everything to be as it was. He is a player of BVB, he trains and he is in our plans for the upcoming match."

Arsenal could also sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan as part of a deal which sees Sanchez head to Old Trafford.

The Gunners' new recruitment chief Sven Mislintat knows both Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan from his time at Borussia Dortmund and both could get done this window.

Sanchez is still expected to join United this week after they blew Manchester City out of the window with personal terms of up to £400,000-a-week and a £30m signing on fee.

Arsenal want to get that done sooner rather than later so they can press on with their own plans.

Even though Aubameyang has a bad boy reputation, Mislintat has provided glowing reports and Dortmund are ready to sell.

如果都係無冠，反正係雲加問題定唔係雲加問題，都會入雲加數，有幾可入球員數呢? 例如山神，眾人只會認為佢盡晒力都無用叫佢唔好浪費青春，唔會認為係佢作為皇牌都帶唔起隊波

即係咁講，如果D球員一心想拎冠，當然轉去曼城巴卡拜仁，可能有D人就係覺得去阿記是要挑戰自己完成「不可能的任務」

Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has pleaded with the club to let him join Arsenal.

Aubameyang is determined to move to London and has told Dortmund of his desire to go this month.

It comes after Arsenal held talks with Dortmund over the £60million-rated striker, who is their No.1 target to replace Manchester United-bound Alexis Sanchez.

The Gunners do not want to pay anywhere near Dortmund’s asking price, but the Bundesliga club are keen on Olivier Giroud, who they tried to sign last summer.

Aubameyang has been dropped this season for disciplinary reasons, and has a close relationship with Arsenal’s head of recruitment Sven Mislintat.

Dortmund have publicly said they do not want the striker to go, but negotiations have taken place at the top level.

The 28-year-old has a bad-boy reputation and believes there is no way back for him at Dortmund after the latest fall-out but, as revealed by Mirror Sport, Mislintat has vouched for him on and off the pitch.

Arsenal intend to be busy in this window as they have got cash to spend on top of any deal involving Sanchez, with Theo Walcott leaving and the £40m they made from Liverpool signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

They are understood to have also made a fresh move for West Brom’s Jonny Evans, who is a long-term target, although they face competition from Manchester City.

Arsenal’s squad reshuffle leaves them with enough in the transfer and wages kitty to be able to make a £20m offer for the Baggies centre-back.

Aubameyang is in favor of a move to Arsenal, and the Premier League club have reached an agreement with the striker for a contract through 2021 with an annual salary of 10 million. With Alexis Sanchez set to join Manchester United, Arsenal are targeting his replacement, and could include Olivier Giroud in the deal to help meet Dortmund's demands, which is a transfer fee of 60 million.

Aubameyang desperately wants a move away from Dortmund, the rupture between them stemming from the 2016 season which was the first time that he requested a transfer. Gündogan, Mkhitaryan and Hummels were all moved, but Aubameyang's request was not fulfilled. Later in 2017, Milan offered ?60m for him, which Dortumnd turned down as well. Now, after losing Dembelè to Barcelona, Dortumnd is still inclined to hold onto their top striker, but Arsenal continue to target Aubameyang. Olivier Giroud could be the next big name departure from Arsenal in a player-plus-cash move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsene Wenger refused to rule out Giroud’s exit on the back of Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott leaving the Emirates in what is becoming the biggest transfer shake-up of his reign.

Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke has asked for Giroud to be part of any deal for Aubameyang and the German club also tried to sign the France star last summer.

Arsenal are set to complete a sensational swap deal for Sanchez with Henrikh Mkhitaryan coming the other way with United ready to make the Chile star the highest paid player in the Premier League. Wenger is also still in the market for West Brom defender Jonny Evans.

When asked whether Giroud could be part of the deal if Aubameyang comes in, Wenger replied: “You started with an ‘if.’ If can be many theories. At the moment I cannot tell you much more.

“I have nothing to add to that. These kind of things, it’s better when it’s secret and when you don’t come out on it, and when you announce it when it’s over the line.”

Giroud, still a week away from fitness after a hamstring injury, was interested in moving to Germany in the summer when Dortmund lined him up to replace Aubameyang but then neither deal happened.

Now it could be back on with Giroud keen to get more game time ahead of the World Cup while Dortmund are ready to sell Aubameyang for £60m after a string of fall-outs which has seen him fined and disciplined for missing team meetings.

But Arsenal’s new head of recruitment Sven Mislintat - who was formerly at Dortmund - has vouched for Aubameyang while Wenger insisted that Mkhitaryan will be a good signing despite his problems at Old Trafford.

Wenger, talking about Aubameyang, said: “Character can be a very positive note and it can be a very negative note. I believe overall you look at the achievements of a player during his career and usually, when a career has been very positive, the character has been used in a positive way.

“We played many times against him (Mkhitaryan) when he was at Dortmund. He certainly appreciated the quality of our game and the way we play football.

That’s why certainly he loves the club as well.”
