Kebe Arrives At Palace Crystal Palace have today confirmed the signing of Jimmy Kebe from Reading FC on an three year contract for an undisclosed sum. The
29 year old winger has become Ian Holloway's eleventh summer signing and returns to the Premier League having spent two seasons
in the top flight with the Royals
He began his career with Lens in his native France and after loan spells at Chateauroux and Boulonge was signed by Steve Coppell during Reading's second season
in the Premier League in January 2008. He remained at the Royals following relegation and went on to become a mainstay of the side, making 190 appearances
during his five and a half years in Berkshire.
He helped the club win the Championship title in 2011/12 and featured 18 times in their solitary season back amongst English football's elite, scoring five goals.
He has also won three caps for the Mail national side
“It's a big move for me, I didn't know if I was going to be able to move in this transfer window but
getting back to the Premier League was my main target.
I'm very excited about it.“I talked to the manager and you can see how excited he is and I'm ready for the challenge. It's a big opportunity for the club and
we know it's not going to be easy to stay in this league as there's a lot of good clubs but anything is possible, so we'll try our best.
I was in the same situation with Reading and it's never easy to move from the Championship to the Premier League as it's a big step but there's quality players here and
we have a strong team to do something with here.”
