Chelsea agree fee with Anzhi Makhachkala for Brazilian star Willian

Chelsea have agreed a fee to sign Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala, subject to a work permit being granted.The Brazilian's work permit hearing will take place on Wednesday this week.
On Friday Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho said the attacking midfielder had chosen to join the Stamford Bridge club rather than Spurs.
The Brazilian had looked to be on the verge of joining Tottenham earlier this week before Chelsea entered the race.
And on Sunday morning the Blues confirmed they have struck a deal with Anzhi.A Chelsea statement read: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm an
agreement has been reached with both Willian and his club Anzhi Makhachkala for the transfer of the Brazilian player.
"The transfer is subject to a work permit hearing on Wednesday."

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Samuel Eto’o as part of the negotiations to acquire Willian for £30 million from Anzhi Makhachkala
which will end their attempts to buy Wayne Rooney this summer.

The double signing could be announced later this week. The transfer of Eto’o, the 32-year-old former Inter Milan and Barcelona striker,
is part of the agreement to sign Brazil midfielder Willianbut Jose Mourinho does not want Eto’o’s involvement
to become public until after Monday night’s Premier League game against Manchester United.
Mourinho hopes that continuing the speculation over Chelsea’s interest in Rooney, who may start, will unsettle United.

The fee for Eto’o, the highest-paid player at the Russian club, is thought to be around £2million. Tottenham Hotspur ,
who had agreed a deal to sign Willian until it was hijacked by Chelsea, are furious at having missed out on the midfielder and the collapse of the move could
delay Gareth Bale’s impending departure to Real Madrid. Spurs are determined to bring in another attacking player first as well as sign Roma forward Erik Lamela.

Chelsea have made an offer for Anzhi striker Samuel Eto’o, reveals agent



Chelsea have offered Samuel Eto’o a one-year deal to move to Stamford Bridge, according to the player’s agent Claudio Vigorelli.

Eto’o, who is currently the highest paid player in the world, has been told he is free to leave Anzhi as they try and cut their wage bill.

Inter Milan and Genoa have since made moves to sign the 32-year-old, but according to his agent Vigorelli, Chelsea are also in for the striker.

‘Chelsea have a clear club policy of not signing players over 30,’ Claudio Vigorelli told Il Giornale.

‘I spoke to Jose, who was willing to give Samuel a one-year contract.’
