Stefan Kiessling has ruled out a return to the Germany team as long as Joachim Low is in charge.

AssociatedKiessling has not played for the national team since 2010.

The Bayer Leverkusen striker, 29, told Bild: “There will be no more Germany international Stefan Kiessling under Low.”

Low watched as Kiessling was on target from the penalty spot in Leverkusen’s 4-2 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach -- his 100th goal for the club.

Kiessling played the last of his Germany games in the third place play-off against Uruguay in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

“Every goal is followed by questions about my DFB [international] comeback. It just annoys me. No longer,” he said.

And in a longer post on his Facebook page, he wrote: “I want to take away the pressure [and make sure] that this issue is not brought up time and time again. I can now fully concentrate on Bayer.

“For three years now, there has not been any contact or any info on why I am not good enough for the national team. I am not the guy to cause a stir, but I want to finally bring this issue to an end.”

Bayer Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling has said talk of a Germany recall on Thursday and a place at next year's World Cup leaves him cold, even though he keeps scoring.

The 29-year-old made the last of his six appearances for Germany at the 2010 World Cup, but has repeatedly been overlooked by Germany coach Joachim Loew, who was at Leverkusen's BayArena on Saturday to see Kiessling convert a penalty in Leverkusen's 4-2 win over Borussia Moenchengladbach.

On Thursday, Loew will name his squad for the World Cup qualifiers at home against Austria and away to Faroe Islands on September 6 and 10 respectively, but is set to name Fiorentina's Mario Gomez and Lazio's Miroslav Klose as his strikers. (Related read: Klose set to retire after World Cup)

Having clearly stated last season that he does not expect a Germany recall under Loew, Kiessling was irritated by further questions on the subject.

"At the moment, I've as much interest in the World Cup as damp cheese," said Kiessling, the Bundesliga's top scorer last season.

"I gave a clear statement last season and it's not my job to comment on the issue every time it comes up."

After scoring 25 goals in 34 games last season, Kiessling has already hit two in the three league games so far and netted his 100th Bundesliga goal on Saturday when he converted a 23rd-minute penalty.

After his side joined Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Mainz as the four teams with a 100 percent records after three Bundesliga matches, Leverkusen coach Sami Hyypia, the ex-Liverpool and Finland defender, said he just wants to see Kiessling play well for his club.

"Mr Loew makes his decisions and it would be unfair of me to criticise a colleague," said the 39-year-old.

"It's just important for me that Stefan plays well and scores for us."

Stefan Kiessling insists he is not bothered by being left out of the Germany squad, and he will not be retiring from international duty.

The Bayer Leverkusen forward has been regularly overlooked by national coach Joachim Low, last appearing for his country in the third-place play-off at the FIFA World Cup 2010.

That despite him racking up 50 Bundesliga goals in the three seasons since - including two from his first three appearances of the current campaign.

An article in German newspaper Bild claimed that the former Nuremburg striker would refuse to be called up by Low in the future, but he has moved to deny those reports.

"I would like to use this post to explain the article which will come up in Bild tomorrow," he wrote on his official Facebook page.

"It is not easy for me to get asked and asked again about the national team. I would like to take off the pressure, so that this subject doesn't come up again and again.

"For me the situation is fine, when they say they won't count on me. So I can concentrate 100 per cent on Bayer.

"Hope you can understand me, because it preoccupies my mind a lot and I want to bring it to an end.

"Since three years there has never been any contact or any conversation why it is not enough for the national team. I am not someone who stirs things up, but I would like to leave this subject now.

"At Bayer I have you, the fans and the surrounding, which gives me trust. That's all I need to reach my full potential."
