Chelsea are believed to have made an £8.2m bid for young Brazilian defender Doria. The 18-year-old Botafogo centre-half has been targeted by the Blues with boss Jose Mourinho continuing to build a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts for years to come.Doria, who captained Brazil’s Under-20 side to victory in the Toulon tournament earlier this summer where he was voted Defender of the Tournament, has also been targeted by Tottenham, following the defender’s eye-catching performances which have seen him likened to Thiago Silva.Chelsea have already completed the signings of youngsters Andre Schurrle, Marco van Ginkel and Cristian Cuevas since the end of last season and now Mourinho wants to add Doria to his ranks.Blues skipper John Terry will turn 33 in December, with injury problems meaning his playing time could be limited in future seasons, while David Luiz impressed in midfield last term and could be utilised in a more forward role.Should Mourinho make Doria his fifth summer acquisition, he will join Luiz, Oscar, Ramires, Lucas Piazon and Wallace among the Brazilians at Stamford Bridge.http://metro.co.uk/2013/07/26/chelsea-target-brazilian-under-20-defender-doria-3900473/
