Tottenham want FC Twente’s Nacer Chadli at White Hart Lane.[size=; font-size: inherit,inherit]
Tottenham are keen to boost their Belgian contingent with FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli, according to the Daily Mirror.
The winger is also attracting interest from Swansea City and Aston Villa, while Shakhtar Donetsk are thought to have offered the 23-year-old a contract.

Chadli has been with Twente since joining from AGOVV Apeldoorn in 2010 and enjoyed a fine campaign in the Eredivisie and Europa League last season.
The 6’2〃 star normally operates on the left-wing and his arrival in north London would allow Gareth Bale to permanently move into a central striking role.
Chadli has earned 14 caps for his country and would join fellow Belgians Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele at White Hart Lane, both of whom have been a huge success since arrival last summer.
The playmaker twice scored against Spurs in the Champions League in 2010, netting at the Lane in September before scoring a free-kick in the return group match in Holland.

Spurs poised to land £7.75m-rated Twente winger Chadli to boost Belgian line-up at White Hart Lane



Tottenham are close to striking a deal to sign Belgium winger Nacer Chadli from Twente.

Spurs have offered £6million and the Dutch side want £7.75m, according to reports in Holland today but the clubs are expected to reach a compromise somewhere in between the two figures and the player is in line for a five-year deal.

Chadli is 23 and can play on either flank, versatility which is sure to appeal to Andre Villas-Boas as he likes to move Garth Bale around the pitch.





He scored at White Hart Lane in the Champions League when Tottenham and Twente were drawn together in the group stages, three years ago.

Swansea and Aston Villa have also shown interest in Chadli, who has dual citizenship and played for Morocco in a friendly before opting to represent Belgium, the country of his birth.

He will join fellow Belgians Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele at Spurs if he is able to complete the move.

FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli is desperate to join fellow Belgium stars Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele at Tottenham next season.
Spurs have been heavily linked with the 23-year-old and a summer switch to White Hart Lane is his preferred option despite interest from Swansea, Shakhtar Donetsk and PSV Eindhoven.
Chadli has just one year left on his current deal and Dutch club Twente want around £7million if they are to sell a player who can play an attacking role anywhere in midfield.

Twente have not used Chadli in their pre-season matches so far with chairman Joop Munsterman said: ‘We have to be careful with him.
‘We hear a lot about Tottenham but the club will have to put up a concrete offer first. So far only Swansea and Shakhtar have made concrete offers and are still options, even though Nacer decided not to go to them.
‘We hope for some clarity this week.’
