Valencia Reach Agreement For Piatti

Cadena Ser reports that Valencia have reached an agreement with Piatti and Almeria for the player to play in the team next season.


Negotiations have intensified during the last two days reached their closing stages on Tuesday as both teams reached an agreement that will see the player move to Valencia for around ?8m. Piatti, who has played in Almeria for 3 years, has agreed a 5 year contract with Valencia.

Piatti has been signed to reinforce the attack after the departure of Joaquín and despite being a left footed, he is able to play in all positions in attack.

The deal, which has been carried out in secret between both clubs, also involves Estudiantes de La Plata, who will receive 25% of the transfer fee.

Being a fast skillful player, Piatti should have no problem linking up with the likes of Mata and Soldado and could give Emery more options for the 4-3-3 formation.
