Inter agree ?14m Belhanda deal with Montpellier



The creative midfielder initially appeared to be on his way toTurkey, but now seems destined to move to the Giuseppe Meazza sideinstead


Montpellier president Louis Nicollin has revealed that the Ligue 1 side have accepted a ?14 million offer from Inter for Morocco international Younes Belhanda.

The attacking midfielder, 22, previouslyappeared to be on his way to Fenerbahce after agreeing personal termswith the Istanbul giants.

But Nicollin stated earlier this week that Fener could not give him the financial guarantees he wanted, and Belhanda now seems destined to continue his career in Serie A instead.

"We have reached an agreement with Inter over a transfer fee of ?14m," Nicollin was quoted as saying by AMKSpor.

"Fenerbahcedid not want to pay more than ?8m. That's why I have opted to acceptInter's bid instead. Every player has his price, and ?8m is not enoughfor Belhanda."

Belhanda was one of MHSC's key players last season as they won the Ligue 1 title.

Inter are in the market for a new midfielder following the departure of Wesley Sneijder to Galatasaray earlier this week.
