Another of the summer's big transfer saga's looks set to be coming to an end with the news that Liverpool look to have finally agreed a fee with Southampton for Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk. The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield since the end of last season but after The Saints reported the Merseyside giants to the Premier League for what they believed to be an illegal approach, the deal looked to have collapsed.
With Liverpool having to issue an apology before stating that that's where their interest would cease, boss Jurgen Klopp was still determined to get his man and was ready to shatter the club's record transfer fee to bring him to the club.
With Southampton having already knocked back two bids from the Reds, Indykaila sources understand that a fee has now been agreed between the two parties after the player told his current employers that he wanted to make the switch which led to him being left out of the squad that travelled to France on their summer tour.
Although the amount is not known at this time, latest reports suggest it could be in the region of £60M which would make van Dijk the club's most expensive ever player, eclipsing the £34M they paid for Mohamed Salah earlier this month.
