Roy Hodgson has arrived at Wembley for talks with the Football Association about the vacant England manager's job.
The FA made its approach for Hodgson over the weekend and West Brom granted permission to hold talks with the former Fulham and Liverpool boss.
Hodgson is the Football Association's preferred choice to succeed Fabio Capello and if talks go well his appointment is expected to be confirmed later this week.
The 64-year-old is set to meet a four-man panel made up of FA chairman David Bernstein, FA general secretary Alex Horne, FA director of football development Sir Trevor Brooking and managing director of Club England Adrian Bevington.
England have been without a manager since February following the shock departure of Capello and it looks like Hodgson will be the man to replace the Italian.
The FA had been keen to get in a new man as soon as possible with England's first game at Euro 2012 against France just six weeks away.
