West Brom have completed the signing of winger Oliver Burke from RB Leipzig for a fee that could rise to £15m, according to Sky sources.The 20-year-old has agreed a five-year contract with Albion and is eligible for Sunday's Premier League clash against Stoke City at The Hawthorns.
Burke was a product of the Nottingham Forest academy before being signed by Leipzig and featuring in their unexpected Bundesliga title challenge last season where they finished runners-up to Bayern Munich.The Scottish international joins summer signings Gareth Barry, Jay Rodriguez, Zhang Yuning and Ahmed Hegazi in Tony Pulis' squad and will wear the number 17 shirt for the Baggies.
Burke said: "I feel like it is a time for me to move on and play more games. I'm here, I want to impress and I want my name to be first on the team sheet."
Pulis said: "We're really pleased to get him in - the lad has got a tremendous talent.
"He's got a fantastic, raw ability but he has now also got the experience of going away from the comfort of his own area to a foreign country and experiencing life.
"He's gained the experience of playing for a top club in the Bundesliga with top coaches. That will have broadened his horizons and been good for his development."
WBA chairman John Williams added: "We're delighted to see him at the Albion.
"He's clearly a talented young footballer and we believe this is the kind of signing that will excite our fans.
"We're all looking forward to seeing him in action."
