Lee return boosts Bolton
Injured South Korean returns to Reebok to continue rehabilitationLast Updated: October 21, 2011 6:47pm
Owen Coyle has welcomed Lee Chung-yong's return to Bolton after a spell of rehabilitation at home in South Korea. The 23-year-old suffered a double fracture in his right shin during a pre-season friendly against Newport County in July and was expected to miss the current campaign.
However, the midfielder has made remarkable progress during his rehabilitation in South Korea and has now returned to England.
South Korea national team doctor Song Jun-sub believes
Lee could make his Premier League comeback in February and Bolton boss Coyle is delighted to have him back at the Reebok.
He said: "Lee Chung-yong fully fit is worth £10-20million, that's how good this boy's going to be. He was set for, I believe, a sensational season.
"It was the first year we managed to get him four or five weeks of a break because he'd played consistently for two years and pre-season he looked unbelievable and we were all excited about what was going to happen.
"Unfortunately it was taken away from him with the injury but to have him back and continuing his progress and his rehabilitation is great."
