Sevilla have confirmed the signing of Jose Antonio Reyes from Primera Division rivals Atletico Madrid.

The former Spain international has penned a three-and-a-half-year deal with the club he left to join Arsenal in 2004.

A product of Sevilla's youth team, Reyes made his debut for the club at the age of 16 and quickly set about establishing himself as one of the most exciting young players in Europe.

He left for Arsenal after four years at the Sanchez Pizjuan and spent three seasons in north London before returning to Spain in 2007 after agreeing a loan deal with Real Madrid.

However, he ultimately ended up signing for crosstown rivals Atletico the following year. He never really settled at the Vicente Calderon, though and then fell out of favour with Gregorio Manzano this season.

Despite the arrival of Diego Simeone as coach last month, Reyes, who has also been linked with a move to Galatasaray, made it clear to the Argentine that he had his heart set on a return to the club where he had made his name.

Reyes is scheduled to arrive in Seville on Thursday evening but it has not yet been confirmed when he will be officially presented to the media.

Atletico Madrid open talks with Malaga for Diego Buonanotte - report

The Vicente Calderon outfit are keen to add to their attacking options and have reportedly identified the out-of-favour Argentine as the ideal player to fill in for Reyes

Atletico Madrid have expressed an interest in signing Malaga attacker Diego Buonanotte, AS claims.

The Spanish capital club are believed to be in the market for a new attacking-minded player following Jose Antonio Reyes' transfer to Sevilla earlier on Thursday.

Buonanotte joined Malaga from River Plate in the summer for an undisclosed fee, but has failed to hold down a regular place under coach Manuel Pellegrini.

With only seven appearances to date at Malaga, the 23-year-old is reportedly considering his options, and a reunion with Atletico coach Diego Simeone, who coached him at River Plate, is a strong possibility.

It is believed that Atletico have already asked Malaga about the availability of Buonanotte, who has a ?25 million release clause attached to his contract, which runs out in 2016.

Barcelona line up Inter's Diego Forlan as David Villa's replacement - report

The Liga champions are pondering the signing of a new striker in January and the Uruguayan seems to be a strong possibility after a disappointing first months in Italy



Barcelona are weighing up the merits of a move for Inter striker Diego Forlan, La Nacion reports.


The Catalan giants are believed to be studying the possibility of signing a new goalscorer after losing David Villa to a fractured tibia last month.

With Villa facing five months on the sidelines, it is reported that Barca are considering a short-term option to reinforce their attack with Forlan topping their preferences.

The Uruguay international has endured a frustrating start to life in Serie A, with just one goal scored in eight matches after four months marred by injuries.

Forlan is, however, highly regarded in Spain, after enjoying two successful spells between 2004 and 2011, first at Villarreal and then at Atletico, which put him on Barca's agenda several times in the past.

Malaga have made a ?10 million bid for out-of-favour Borussia Dortmund striker Lucas Barrios, according to Bild.

The Paraguay international has found first-team opportunities at Signal Iduna Park something of a rare commodity this season, as Robert Lewandowski has made the starting role in Jurgen Klopp's side his own.

Despite the South American attacker playing a key role in securing the Bundesliga title for Dortmund last season, it is believed that the German champions will let him leave the club in January should their valuation of ?12m be met.

With Malaga backed by Qatari billionaire Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Thani, it has been stipulated that the clubs should easily be able to agree a transfer fee.

Barrios has himself spoken of his disappointment at only making nine appearances for the German side this season and indicated that he may leave if his fortunes do not change.

"It is not my intention to sit for another six months on the sidelines," the 27-year-old adamantly stated.

The Argentina-born forward's future is set to be decided within the next week however, as general manager Michael Zorc has revealed that talks are forthcoming.

"We will talk in the next few days with him," the former Germany international confirmed.

Sevilla and Espanyol are also believed to be interested in Barrios, but Malaga’s bid is thought to be the first concrete offer for the former Colo Colo hitman.

Spanish high flyers chase Blackburn striker

Blackburn boss Steve Kean is facing a new battle to keep another in-demand player at Ewood Park.

This time the man in question is Ruben Rochina, and the interested club are Levante, who are the surprise package in La Liga this season and are pushing for a European place.

The Spanish striker, 20, only joined Blackburn last January from Barcelona’s reserves, signing a four-year deal.

He has had limited success in the Premier League over the 12 months since and Levante are hoping to tempt the Lancashire side into selling.

Blackburn are already fighting battles to hang onto defender Chris Samba, linked with Tottenham and QPR, and forward Junior Hoilett, who is a January target for Newcastle, Chelsea and Spurs.

Kean knows he may have to lose one prize asset, and now faces a dilemma over whether to sell Rochina.

Levante, who failed with a bid to sign the player last summer, will have a place in their squad free as forward Wellington Silva is set to return to Arsenal after a disappointing loan spell.

Cameroon international goalkeeper Carlos Kameni has joined Malaga from Espanyol, the buying club announced on their website on Wednesday.

Malaga added that there will be a possibility to extend the two-and-a-half-year deal when it ends.

Kameni, 27, will be presented to Malaga's fans at the club's La Rosaleda stadium on Thursday.

On Saturday, Espanyol reported that Kameni was on his way to Malaga after over seven years with the club.

Espanyol's official website said it has reached agreement with Kameni to break his contract, adding that talks had begun earlier in the week prior to the cancellation of the Indomitable Lions' contract last Friday.

The highly-rated goalkeeper arrived at Espanyol in 2004, going on to make over 200 league appearances for the club.

During his time with the Barcelona-based side, Kameni won the Copa del Rey in 2006 when beating Real Zaragoza.

"Espanyol wishes its now ex-player the best of luck in his new stage of his professional career," the club website added.

Kameni has time to negotiate any move since Cameroon failed to reach this month's Africa Cup of Nations.

Espanyol currently lie eighth in La Liga, just one point behind sixth-placed Malaga, who have spent heavily in the transfer market after being taken over by Qatari owners in 2010.

Victor Sanchez Mata has returned to his Catalan roots and penned a three-and-a-half-year contract with Espanyol.

A product of Barcelona's famed academy system, the midfielder rose through the ranks at Camp Nou to become a member of their senior squad.

He was, however, unable to hold down a regular role and was released from his contract in June 2011.

Sanchez accepted an offer from Swiss side Neuchatel Xamax last summer, but has been out of contract since the club saw their playing license revoked.

He has now opted to head home and becomes the second player, after Kalu Uche, to leave Neuchatel for Espanyol.

As well as Sanchez and Uche, the Catalan outfit have also snapped up Philippe Coutinho during the winter transfer window.

"Victor Sanchez Mata, the midfielder from Neuchatel, this morning became Espanyol's third recruit," read a statement released by the club on Tuesday.

巴塞周二在官網上宣佈，在雙方同意之下，球會與白俄羅斯中場希比（Alexander Hleb）解約，合約原定今季季尾屆滿。據報，希臘球隊奧林比亞高斯有興趣羅致自由身的希比。30歲的希比在2008年夏天由阿仙奴轉會巴塞，但得不到教練哥迪奧拿的重用，過去3年曾被借用到史特加、禾夫斯堡及伯明翰。

另外，巴塞教練哥迪奧拿仍未決定下季的去留，他說：「我將會決定是否續約，當我作出決定時，我會跟主席說。不過，我現時未有決定。」自哥帥上任後，巴塞打遍天下無敵手，幾乎奪得過所有錦標，所以有指他意興闌珊，想尋求新挑戰。
