Inter's Gian Piero Gasperini admits the future of Manchester United target Wesley Sneijder is uncertain

The coach was unveiled to the media alongside the club's general manager, where he was quizzed about his tactical approach, and possible ins and outs over the summer

Newly-appointed Inter coach Gian Piero Gasperini has confessed that playmaker Wesley Sneijder could be on his way out of the club this summer.

The situation of the 27-year-old Dutch international has been the topic of much speculation in recent months, with Manchester United reportedly his most favoured destination, and in Gasperini's debut press conference at Inter, the tactician admitted his time in Milan may be coming to an end.

"Some players may be forced to change their position on the field, such as Sneijder, but he could also end up on the market," admitted Gasperini. "He has obviously been a great player for Inter, but the situation in 40 to 50 days time is hard to predict."

The former Juventus youth coach has been a well-known advocate of the 3-4-3 formation during his career, but he hinted that he may retain a four-man back line next term.

"I am convinced that this is a very strong team and we intend to have a successful season," Gasperini began. "Three in defence? It's an option that I could use, but I may not.

Gasperini also indicated that new arrivals are on the horizon, reserving special mentions for Argentine attackers Ricky Alvarez and his former Genoa acquaintance Rodrigo Palacio.

"Alvarez is a great player. If he were to arrive, he would be a major reinforcement," the coach said. "What are the chances of Palacio [arriving]? You would have to ask [general manager] Branca, but he is a player that I have coached and I've got to appreciate his talents."

The coach was also quizzed on midfielder Thiago Motta's potential departure to Roma, and remained coy on the player's situation.

"Motta leaving? Today he is an Inter player but the market is unpredictable."

The questions then shifted on to his prospects for next season. However, the tactician feels his new side's recent trophy haul speaks for itself.

"The statistics say that we won three trophies and came second in the league [last season]. The team showed only two seasons ago that we have what it takes to win everything. Last year was less successful, but those lesser results but can be an extra motivation for us."

Niko Kranjcar believes Tottenham's asking price for him is scaring off interested clubs from buying him.

The 26-year-old is hoping to secure a move away from White Hart Lane over the summer as he searches for regular first team football but feels Spurs have placed too high a price tag on him.

"I'm shocked about the transfer fee set for me," Kranjcar told SportskeNovosti. "It's a price that cools down everybody who is interested. It doesn't matter if the price is in pounds or euros.

"A fee between 10 million and 15m is just too much for everybody.

"If Tottenham would be happy with ?6.7 million [£6m], we could all be happy. But if they keep asking for so much money no one will buy me."

The Croatian international, who has reportedly attracted the interest of Liverpool and Roma, admitted Dynamo Kiev were keen on signing him until they learned of the asking price.

He added: "I know that Dynamo Kiev were interested in buying me, but when they were told about my asking price talks just stopped."

We've got Nasri! Manchester City claim £19m deal for Arsenal rebel

Manchester City believe they have captured Arsenal playmaker Samir Nasri for £19million.

The deal is close to completion and will represent a significant victory for City with both Manchester United and Chelsea also keen on landing the Frenchman.

The fact that City are grabbing Nasri just 24 hours after Carlos Tevez told Sportsmail of his wish to leave the club is also seen as an important moment for a club who will play in the Champions League for the first time this season.

After the signing of Gael Clichy for £7m earlier this week, the Nasri move represents another serious loss for Arsenal to one of their Barclays Premier League rivals.

City are also tracking a frontline replacement for Tevez and expect another transfer powerplay by owner Sheik Mansour within the next week.

City have dug their heels in over Tevez's Eastlands future and insist he will not be allowed to leave for less than £50m.

The club's unhappy skipper was hoping for a swift resolution to his demand for a move after issuing a statement that he wanted to switch to a country where his family, including his two daughters, would be happy to settle.

But City are in no mood to relent over a valuation that looks like dashing his hopes of a move to Real Madrid in Spain or Juventus or Inter Milan in Italy and forcing him to stay against his wishes.

Liverpool ramp up bid to sign Downing but Aston Villa reject £15m offer

Liverpool have cranked up the pressure in their pursuit of Stewart Downing after making a £15million bid for the England winger.

Downing is Liverpool's No 1 summer target but Aston Villa rebuffed the offer from Anfield.

Villa are determined to hold out for their £19m asking price for the 26-year-old, who was the club's Player of the Year last season.

However, Downing has his heart set on a move to Merseyside and has made it clear that he has no plans to extend his current contract, which has two years left to run.

The next move will be down to Liverpool but Villa will be bracing themselves for a renewed offer.

One possibility would be for Liverpool to include David Ngog as part of the deal, given that new Villa manager Alex McLeish is an admirer of the French striker and wants cover for Darren Bent.

Clearly, the Midlands club would prefer straight cash to bring in reinforcements, having just lost Ashley Young to Manchester United.

Ngog saw a move to Sunderland fall through last month after they baulked at the £4m fee but he could be an attractive proposition for Villa.

Having missed out on a number of targets in recent weeks, Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is anxious to change the fact that Jordan Henderson has been his sole signing of the summer so far.

Henderson, however, will have to wait a little longer before launching his Anfield career, as his involvement in the European Under 21 Championship with England will prevent him travelling to the Far East on Liverpool's pre-season tour.

Steven Gerrard will also miss the games in China and Kuala Lumpur after it was decided he would be better served by staying at the club's Melwood training base.

Dalglish said: 'Steven and the medical team have done fantastically well so far and they are in the final stages of getting him back to full training.

'I'm sure there will be supporters disappointed that Steven is unable to be with us in Asia, but I'm sure the same people will appreciate the importance of Steven giving himself the best opportunity of being fit to play against Sunderland on the opening day of the new campaign.

'Steven continuing his rehabilitation programme at Melwood is in everybody's long-term interests.'

Gerrard, who last played for Liverpool in the 3-1 win over Manchester United on March 6, added: 'After sitting down and talking with the medical experts and technical staff, it's been decided that it is best for me to continue my rehabilitation programme at Melwood.'

West Brom pull out of Long deal as Reading slap £10m price tag on in-demand striker

Udinese join Tottenham and Real Madrid in hunt for Sunderland striker Gyan

Udinese have entered the race to re-sign Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan.

The Italian club, who qualified for this year's Champions League, are looking to invest the £35million from the imminent sale of Chile international Alexis Sanchez.

And Gyan, who had five years with Udinese at the start of his career, has emerged as their number one target although they face competition from Tottenham, Real Madrid, Fiorentina and Zenit St Peterburg.

Although he scored 10 goals for Sunderland last season, Steve Bruce may be prepared to sell if clubs will match the club record £13million paid to Rennes less than a year ago.

Bruce has already signed strikers Connor Wickham and Ji Dong-Won this summer and he remains interested in Jermain Defoe, Shane Long and Stuttgart's Russia international Pavel Pogrebnyak.

The Sunderland manager hopes to conclude deals for Manchester United pair Wes Brown and John O'Shea this week.

He said: ‘It looks good, we are very close. Wes is travelling up for talks and we have also spoken to John. I would say we are inches away.'

Anderlecht and FC Brugge have offered Jovanovic, 29, a return to Belgian football but the former Standard Liege striker is not prepared to take a considerable cut on his £60,000-a-week wages.

另一支對維達爾虎視眈眈的球隊是英超的阿仙奴，在費比加斯及拿斯利兩位進攻重心均有機會離隊的情況下，阿仙奴必須簽入新兵維持戰鬥力。不過，有報道指，若「兵工廠」放棄爭奪維達爾的話，祖雲達斯便會把隊中的防守中場施素高賣給他們。

祖雲達斯對維達爾可謂志在必得，除了願意向利華古遜支付二千一百萬歐羅的轉會費外，又向該智利國腳提供一份年薪達三百七十萬歐羅的合約。

利華古遜體育總監Rudi Voller承認，有幾支球會正為維達爾進行角逐，但他強調球會絕不會以低價出售該名中場。

新特蘭主席昆尼透露，他們的確對曼聯老將奧沙感興趣，並在這場爭奪戰中處於領跑位置。

30歲的奧沙已經在曼聯效力12年，雖然一直都不是球隊必然正選，但由於他的能力相當全面，可以在後防正選受傷的情況下填補空缺。

人到而立之年，肯定希望有更好的職業生涯，傳聞奧沙希望離開曼聯，在其他球隊踢主力。新特蘭對這位愛爾蘭國腳很感興趣，昆尼對此予以證實。

據意大利傳媒報導，意甲冠軍AC米蘭已經從波圖簽下守將列卡度費拉拿，僅待官方宣佈而已。

18歲的列卡度費拉拿是葡萄牙U19國腳，司職後衛的他能勝任防線多個位置，是個不可多得的後防多面手。

《天空體育》指出，AC米蘭簽下列卡度費拉拿沒有花費分文，因為他與波圖的合約今夏已經屆滿。除了列卡度費拉拿，AC米蘭也已經簽下羅甲巴索夫球員曉高蘇沙。

據悉，列卡度費拉拿即將跟隨AC米蘭一隊訓練，不過主帥艾歷尼還未決定是否將他列入來季一隊的大名單，這要取決於他這段時間在訓練中的表現。
