EXCLUSIVE: PUNCHEON SIGNS LOAN DEAL

Queens Park Rangers Football Club can confirm Southampton forward Jason Puncheon has joined the Club on loan until 2nd January 2012.
The 25 year-old, who originates from Croydon, moves to Loftus Road on the back of a successful loan spell with Blackpool last season in the Barclays Premier League.
R's gaffer Neil Warnock was delighted to beat last night's 11pm transfer deadline and clinch his third capture of an eventful evening, telling

"This all happened very late in the day so I am very pleased we got him in.
"Jason is a good acquisition because he brings pace and plenty of desire.
"To be perfectly honest, he was so keen to come to QPR I think he would have paid us!
"He is desperate to do well, and that really impressed me."
Puncheon, who also had a stint on loan with npower Championship side Millwall last term where he scored five goals in seven outings, is expected to go straight into Warnock's squad for the arrival of Newcastle United on 12th September.

EXCLUSIVE: FERDINAND FINALISES MOVE

Queens Park Rangers Football Club have reached an agreement with Sunderland for the services of versatile defender Anton Ferdinand.
The former England Under-21 international has signed a three-year deal at Loftus Road, after the two Clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.
Ferdinand, 26, has a wealth of Premier League experience, having played regularly in the top-flight for West Ham United and the Mackems.

www.qpr.co.uk, Ferdinand said: "The Club's moving forward and things seem to be buzzing around here at the moment.
"I came down from London on Wednesday and spoke to the gaffer, and was impressed with his thoughts on where the Club is going to go.
"I've heard good things about the Manager and, after speaking with him, it's clear that he wants the best for me and wants me to do well.
"As soon as I came out of the meeting with him, I knew that QPR was the Club for me."
Ferdinand follows in the footsteps of second cousin and Club legend 'Sir' Les Ferdinand in plying his trade in W12 - and R's boss Neil Warnock added: "Anton's a player that I have always admired.
"He's got so much to offer. When you look at centre-halves in this country, you won't see much better than Anton on a good day.
"I'm going to try and give him more good days than bad! He's got to work very, very hard, but I see a lot in him.
"He's got a lot still to prove and hopefully he's with the right team to do that with."
