The Russian club released a statement on their official website confirming the transfer, and are expected to pay the Italian club ?28 million for the player's rights, while Eto'o will receive ?20m per year during his stay in Dagestan.
Delegates from Anzhi met with Inter officials on Wednesday, and Eto'o has since passed a medical in Rome, completing the formalities of the deal.
The club's official release states:
"Inter striker Samuel Eto'o has signed a three-year deal with Anzhi Makhachkala. The player will arrive in Moscow tomorrow [Thursday] and will join the group in their preparations for the match against Rostov."
Eto'o spent two years at San Siro following a five-year spell with Barcelona. During his time at Inter he won a Champions League, one Club World Cup, one Scudetto, two Coppe Italia and a Supercoppa Italiana. He scored 53 goals in 102 appearances for the club, including 37 in 53 games in the 2010-11 season.
The Cameroon national team captain has also worn the colours of Leganes, Espanyol, Real Madrid and Mallorca during his illustrious career, and becomes ambitious Anzhi's most high-profile signing following the previous purchases of players such as Roberto Carlos and Balazs Dzsudzsak.
