好老實講...球壇上夠班踢車仔既前鋒唔多,可以買既更加係少

你走甩左件lukaku,想搵返件差唔多既可能得返莫拉達

但連曼聯都講唔掂數,車仔難度幾高可想而知

Manchester United agree fee for Romelu Lukaku but Chelsea may make own bid
• United confident Belgium international will join before tour starts on Sunday
• Chelsea hopeful they still have a chance of signing the 24-year-old

Manchester United are convinced they are close to securing Romelu Lukaku for a fee of around £75m despite indications from Everton that a deal has yet to be agreed, and Chelsea’s private insistence they remain in the chase for the Belgium forward.

The confidence at Old Trafford is such that sources have indicated the player, who is currently on holiday in Los Angeles, could be signed in time to join up with his new team-mates as they continue their pre-season in the United States.
José Mourinho’s squad depart on Sunday for that five-game tour and hope to confirm the striker as the second most expensive signing in their history, behind Paul Pogba.

Yet sources at Everton, who retain an interest in United’s Wayne Rooney, have stressed that there is some way to go before any transfer could be considered complete, with the Merseyside club now expecting Chelsea to step up their own attempts to sign the striker.

Antonio Conte had identified Lukaku early on as his main attacking reinforcement, and replacement for the out-going Diego Costa, and the Premier League champions have not ruled themselves out of the pursuit despite confirmation of United’s bid.

Indeed, they have noted Everton’s denial that a deal has been struck with interest.

Their own confidence appears to be forged on a belief that Lukaku’s preference has always been to re-sign for the club he left back in 2014 for £28m.
Yet they are now under pressure to counter United’s offer with one of their own, despite the fact they have been unable, as yet, to off-load Costa.
Atlético Madrid are expected to launch their own bid for the Spain forward, though it remains to be seen whether they match Chelsea’s valuation.

Losing out on Lukaku would represent a significant blow to the London club, and place further strain on Conte’s relationship with the board.
Reports in Belgium have suggested the Italian has spoken to the Everton forward over recent weeks, outlining where he sees him in his first-team plans and stressing his significance to the side’s approach, and had envisaged the deal being completed before his own squad return for pre-season training next Monday.

The alternative options for Chelsea would, ironically enough, be Álvaro Morata – whom United had previously targeted only to drop their interest after the Spanish club refused to lower their asking price of ?90m (£79m) – or the Torino forward, Andrea Belotti, though both know they were always second-choice to Lukaku.

Should Lukaku complete a move to Old Trafford then he would become United’s second summer signing after the arrival of Benfica’s Swedish centre-back Victor Lindelof for £31m.

The club’s manager, José Mourinho, had also expressed some frustration with the lack of progress on signings as he had said early on in the summer that he wanted as many new arrivals in place before they set off for their pre-season tour.

Would Man United have bid on Romelu Lukaku if they weren't encouraged that they could strike a deal with the player? #mufc #cfc

Fair to say Man United took everyone by surprise. Medical planned in LA. They want to move fast. Chelsea holding on that they're still in.

Romelu Lukaku set for medical ahead of £75m move to Manchester United
• United confident Belgium striker will join before US tour starts on Sunday
• José Mourinho still targeting more players ahead of new season

Romelu Lukaku is having his medical in Los Angeles ahead of sealing a £75m move to Manchester United, with the striker expected to join up with José Mourinho’s squad when they arrive in the city on Sunday ahead of the club’s five-game pre-season tour of America.

Lukaku has been holidaying in California with United’s Paul Pogba, who is a good friend and who has the same agent, Mino Raiola. The 24-year-old was due to fly back to England on Friday.

However, as Mourinho is intent that Lukaku should be confirmed as United’s second summer signing as soon as possible, the manager has decided this is the best way to push the transfer through.

The move means that barring a last minute hitch United will have landed Lukaku ahead of Chelsea despite the west London club believing they were in pole position to prise him from Everton. Chelsea maintained the stance even after news broke on Thursday that United were sure they were closing in on the player.

If Lukaku does complete the transfer he will follow Victor Lindelof, the central defender who moved from Benfica to United for £30m last month. Mourinho is still intent on adding a central midfielder and, possibly, a wide forward. Wayne Rooney is expected to leave United for Everton, with his presence on the flight to the West Coast on Sunday in the balance.

Scoring goals was United’s biggest problem last season as they ended the league campaign with 54, comfortably the lowest of the top seven sides. The top three all scored more than 80 goals and United’s ability to see off teams led to damaging home draws against Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion, Bournemouth, Hull City, West Ham, Burnley and Stoke City.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored 17 goals in the league with Juan Mata the second highest scorer on six. Ibrahimovic ruptured a ligament against Anderlecht in April and was not offered a new contract. United were interested in signing Antoine Griezmann but the French forward decided to stay at Atlético Madrid.

Antonio Conte had identified Lukaku early on as his replacement for Diego Costa, with their confidence forged on a belief that the Belgium striker’s preference has always been to rejoin the club he left in 2014 for £28m. Atlético Madrid are expected to make a bid for the Spain forward, though it remains to be seen whether they match Chelsea’s valuation.

Losing out on Lukaku would represent a significant blow and place further strain on Conte’s relationship with the board.

Reports in Belgium have suggested the manager has spoken Lukaku in recent weeks, outlining where he sees him in his plans and stressing the player’s significance to Chelsea’s approach.

Conte had envisaged the deal being completed before his squad return for pre-season training on Monday.

He has been frustrated by Chelsea’s inability to add to his squad, with only Willy Caballero, on a free transfer from Manchester City, confirmed.

Asmir Begovic, Nathan Aké, Tammy Abraham and John Terry have departed either on permanent or long-term loan deals. Conte, who infuriated the hierarchy by texting Costa to inform him he was no longer in his plans, has pinned much on Lukaku’s addition, and the onus is now on the board to lodge a bid with Everton.

The alternative options for Chelsea would be Álvaro Morata, whom United had targeted only to drop their interest after Real Madrid refused to lower their asking price of ?90m (£79m), or the Torino forward Andrea Belotti.

United are still hoping to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea but that deal may not go through if United complete the Lukaku signing.

United are prepared to pay £40m for the Serbia midfielder but the Premier League champions are not ready to sanction that sale before they have signed Tiemoué Bakayoko from Monaco. Chelsea have agreed a fee with Roma to sign the Germany defender Antonio Rüdiger.

Mino Raiola key to Manchester United's hijacking of Romelu Lukaku bid

Matt Law  Sam Wallace
6 JULY 2017 • 10:00 PM
Mino Raiola has played a key part in Manchester United’s bid to snatch Romelu Lukaku from under the noses of Chelsea.

United surprisingly moved into pole position to sign Lukaku for £75million from Everton after receiving a tip off from the Belgian’s agent Raiola at the start of the week that an agreement may be possible.

Chelsea had been expecting to take Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge this summer, but progress regarding negotiations with Everton and Raiola had been slow.

United’s close relationship with Raiola seems to have been vital in Jose Mourinho’s bold move to hijack Chelsea’s interest in their former player.

Lukaku had made it clear he favoured a return to Chelsea over moving to United this summer, but it seems he has been convinced that Old Trafford represents a good option.

Chelsea’s only faint hope of resurrecting their own bid for Lukaku rests on whether or not the player is willing to veto his move to United in favour of holding out for his old employers.

But such a decision is unlikely and would be incredibly risky on Lukaku’s part, and United expect to conclude a deal before the club leave for their US tour on Sunday.

Raiola took three of his clients – Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan – to Old Trafford last summer and also represents goalkeeper Sergio Romero.

It was reported in May that Raiola stands to earn £41m from Pogba’s world record £89m move from Juventus and the Dutch-Italian dealmaker will earn another handsome payday from the Lukaku deal.

Failure to land Lukaku could put renewed pressure on Antonio Conte’s relationship with the Chelsea board.

Head coach Conte invested a lot of time and energy into Chelsea’s interest in Lukaku, with one source claiming the Italian, who is due back at work on Sunday, will be “fuming” if it all goes to waste.

The timing of United confirming their move for Lukaku coincided with that of Diego Costa starting to say his farewells to his Chelsea team-mates ahead of a potential return to Atletico Madrid.

Conte’s decision to tell Costa that he is not part of his plans by text message looks increasingly ill-advised and has put Chelsea in a difficult position.

Other than weakening their negotiating position with Atletico set to launch their bid to re-sign Costa, the text has also made it clear that Chelsea are desperate to recruit a new striker.

Costa has got in touch with a number of his Chelsea team-mates to tell them he expects to return to his former club and is unsure whether he will be back at Chelsea for pre-season training which starts next Monday.

Chelsea will only excuse Costa from returning for pre-season if a move to Atletico is agreed or negotiations are advanced, which the 28-year-old clearly hopes is the case.

The most obvious move for Chelsea to make would be to renew their interest in Alvaro Morata, who the club failed to land last summer.

Conte had made the decision to go for Lukaku over Morata this time around, but the Spaniard has seemingly been left in the lurch by United as he looks to leave Real Madrid.

Real are not prepared to drop their £70m asking price for Morata, which United had got close to meeting, but that still makes the 24-year-old a cheaper alternative than Lukaku.

Morata had agreed to join United in principle, but would also be open to a move to Chelsea having previously told friends that he thought he would one day play for Conte at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have also shown an interest in Alexis Sanchez, but Arsenal have insisted they will not sell the Chile forward to a Premier League rival. Torino’s Andrea Belotti is another option.

Conte is a fan of Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke, although it is thought the Italian’s interest would be to sign the 26-year-old as support to somebody with greater pedigree,

Having become exasperated with the speed at which Chelsea were conducting their transfer business, Conte spoke with director Marina Granovskaia and owner Roman Abramovich, and was satisfied that progress was being made.

With deals close to completion for central defender Antonio Rudiger and midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, and Chelsea in talks with Juventus over left-back Alex Sandro, the Premier League champions looked well placed in the transfer market.

Chelsea have offered Conte a new contract that would make him the highest-paid manager in the club’s history on £9.6m-a-year, which he was due to sign when he returned from holiday.

That may still prove to be the case, but Conte will need to be satisfied that Chelsea will start the new season with a first-choice striker he is happy with.

Romelu Lukaku: Man Utd 'agree £75m fee with Everton for striker'

By Simon Stone
BBC Sport

Manchester United have agreed a fee of around £75m with Everton for striker Romelu Lukaku, senior club sources have told the BBC.

The 24-year-old Belgium international scored 25 Premier League goals last season.

United, who have been chasing Lukaku for most of the summer, will not now be pursuing their interest in Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata.

Everton sources say no deal or agreement has been reached.

The move for Lukaku is not connected to talks aimed at taking United forward Wayne Rooney to Everton.

Jose Mourinho's side are hopeful of concluding a deal in time for Lukaku to join the squad before they depart for a pre-season tour to the United States on Sunday.

The striker was on a list of forward options Mourinho gave to executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward before the end of last season.

It had been thought Lukaku would return to his former club Chelsea, who he joined from Anderlecht in 2011.

The striker was sold to Everton for £28m by Mourinho during the Portuguese manager's second spell in charge of Chelsea in 2014.

Lukaku is a client of agent Mino Raiola, who also looks after Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan - three players all signed by United last summer.

The Belgian turned down the most lucrative contract offer in Everton's history in March and later said: "I don't want to stay at the same level. I want to improve and I know where I want to do that."

Lukaku in stats

  • With a double against Hull City in March, Romelu Lukaku became the first Everton player since Gary Lineker in 1985-86 to hit 20 league goals in a season.
  • Lukaku is also only the fourth player to score more than 80 goals in the Premier League before turning 24 (also Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler and Wayne Rooney).
  • He has also scored more goals than any other Everton player in Premier League history (68).
  • Lukaku is one of only three players to have scored more than 10 goals in each of the last five Premier League seasons (alongside Giroud and Aguero).

Mourinho & Lukaku - in quotes

Lukaku on Mourinho in December 2015:

"Everyone says it is Mourinho's fault but it is not his fault because I made the decision [to leave Chelsea]. I went to his office to ask if I could go.

"I signed the deal with Everton at 11 o'clock and the first text message I got on my old BlackBerry was from Mourinho saying: 'Good luck, do your best and I will see you next season.' He was the first.

Nobody knows that and that is why for me he gets immense respect."

Mourinho on Lukaku expressing surprise he was released by Chelsea to join Everton on loan in 2013:

"Romelu likes to speak. He's a young boy who likes to speak. But the only thing he didn't say is why he went to Everton on loan. That's the only thing he never says. And my last contact with him was to tell him exactly that - 'why do you never say why you are not here?'"

Mourinho on selling Lukaku to Everton:

"Romelu was always very clear with us with his mentality and his approach was not highly motivated to come to a competitive situation with Chelsea.

"He wanted to play for Chelsea but he clearly wanted to be first-choice striker - but for a club of our dimension it is very difficult to promise to a player. That reduced, immediately, his desire to come to us.

"After that, Everton came in with an important offer. As I always say - because it's the reality - our club wants to do things really well. We want to always be inside of the rules. Financial Fair Play is something that is always in the thoughts of Chelsea's board."
