Newcastle have agreed a loan deal for Lazio left-back Jordan Lukaku, according to Sky sources. Lukaku will be Rafa Benitez's first signing of the January transfer window. The 24-year-old, brother of Manchester United forward Romelu, has joined until the end of the season. Newcastle have reportedly been keen on Lukaku since the window opened earlier this month.
After missing out on Belgium's World Cup squad last summer, he made his first league start of the season on January 20, after a knee problem hampered his start to the campaign.
Lukaku played with brother Romelu during his seven caps for Belgium, and will play in the same league with him for the first time.
Jordan was only a youth player at Anderlecht when Romelu left Belgium for Chelsea in 2011.
The younger Lukaku then moved to Belgian club K.V. Oostende before earning a move to Italy in 2016.
Newcastle are up against champions Manchester City next, with the club placed 17th in the Premier League table.
