Blackburn Rovers have sold Croatia striker Nikola Kalinic to Ukrainian side Dnipro for an undisclosed fee, ending his two-year spell at Ewood Park.
Kalinic, 23, joined Rovers from Hajduk Split for around £6 million in 2009 and, after a slow start to life in England, scored five goals in 18 Premier League appearances last season.
The club announced the deal in a statement, adding that he had "decided his future lay outside England, completing the move to the Ukraine this Thursday", implying it was the player’s decision to exit.
Rovers signed Scotland striker David Goodwillie last week.
