Hart handed Barclays Golden Glove
Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has been presented with the Barclays Golden Glove Award. The England shotstopper has taken an unassailable position in the race to win the award for keeping the most clean sheets in the 2010/11 Barclays Premier League season.
Hart held off competition from last year's winner Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech with another faultless display on Tuesday when Manchester City beat Stoke City 3-0 at Eastlands.
This took his season tally to 17 clean sheets, two more than Cech with just the final match of the season to play.
Impressive DisplaysHart started the season in imperious form by keeping three clean sheets in his first five matches.
Fourteen more have followed including impressive displays to keep Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea at bay, and crucially keeping two clean sheets against Tottenham Hotspur, helping City qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history. It is the first time that the 24 year-old has won the award.
The rankings in the Barclays Golden Boot with one match to go are Joe Hart, 17 clean sheets, Peter Cech, 15, Liverpool's Pepe Reina and Manchester United's Edwin van der Sar on 14.
