France winger Florent Malouda is thinking of leaving Chelsea with reports saying Paris St Germain is his preferred destination as rumours grow that Carlo Ancelotti is set to take over the Ligue 1 leaders.

Malouda has mainly been on the bench for Chelsea this season and with his spot in France's Euro 2012 squad under threat, the 31-year-old may push for a move in the January transfer window.

"I'm not getting enough playing time. It's too limited for the ambitions I have. I can't be happy with that. If it is necessary, I will leave," Malouda, who joined Chelsea from Olympique Lyon in 2007, was quoted as saying by French media on Tuesday.

The Parisien said Malouda was interested in joining PSG and his former Chelsea coach Ancelotti, who reports suggest was set to take over with Antoine Kombouare poised for the sack despite leading the French standings.

PSG, who are also in talks to bring David Beckham to France in January, issued a short statement last week saying only that they were having "serene discussions" with Kombouare.

Pundits took that to mean his days are numbered as his low profile does not fit with PSG's ambitious Qatari owners.

Sporting director Leonardo worked with Ancelotti at AC Milan and reports say a deal in principle had been agreed with the Italian, who previously said he wanted to work again in England.

David Beckham is set to make a dramatic U-turn on his proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain and stay with LA Galaxy.

The former England captain has been heavily linked with a move to France since the MLS season ended in November and was expected to become one of new PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti’s first recruits.

Beckham was in the French capital last week, fuelling speculation that he was on the verge of a lucrative move to PSG. But Sportsmail understands Beckham is now giving serious consideration to signing a new contract with the Galaxy.

Sources close to the former Manchester United midfielder on Friday night said that, as it stands, the veteran is more inclined to stay in America.

Beckham, 36, will hold talks with his adviser, Simon Fuller, over the coming days before making his decision but is reluctant to uproot his wife Victoria and four children, who are settled in Los Angeles.

The player’s Galaxy deal expires at midnight on New Year's Eve, but a one-year, rolling contract is on the table. The LA deal would give Beckham dispensation to play for Team GB in the London Olympics, which fall in the middle of the MLS season.

Leeds loan for Andros

Andros Townsend has joined Leeds United on loan until the end of the season.

The young winger, who has had previous loan experience in the Championship with Millwall, Watford and Ipswich Town, recently signed a new contract with the Club until 2016 and has scored twice in eight appearances in our colours to date.

Beckham not joining PSG, club confirm

David Beckham will not play for Paris Saint-Germain, the French club have confirmed.

Sporting director Leonardo, speaking in Doha this morning, said: "Yes, it is finished. It is a pity. David was very keen to come to Paris.

"But the welfare of his family in Los Angeles, and his desire not to make big changes in his life weighed heavy on him."

Becks has turned down overtures from the French side, despite new manager Carlo Ancelotti calling him personally in an effort to persuade him to join.

Beckham, 36, is now expected to sign a new rolling contract with the LA Galaxy.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly lining up a sensational ?61.5 million double swoop for Brazilian duo Kaka and Alexandre Pato.

A source close to the club’s owners, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), has revealed that the Ligue 1 leaders are keen to make at least three high-profile signings in the next 15 days and are ready to offer Real Madrid ?23.5m for Kaka, according to AFP.

PSG are also reportedly poised to test AC Milan’s resolve to hold on to Pato with an offer of ?38m.

Pato is rumoured to have fallen out with Rossoneri boss Massimiliano Allegri but the 44-year-old insisted on Monday that he hopes that the forward remains at San Siro.

However, the Italian champions may well decide to cash in on Pato given they are desperate to land Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez on loan during the January transfer window, a deal which has reached an impasse because of Milan’s refusal to commit to buying the Argentine at the end of the season.

As for Madrid, coach Jose Mourinho has publicly declared that he does not want to see any of his players depart the Santiago Bernabeu in January but the club might find it difficult to resist such a generous bid for a player who has been forced to play second fiddle to Mesut Ozil over the past 18 months.

However, when France Football recently joked during an interview with Kaka that they hoped to see him in Paris soon, the former AC Milan maestro replied: "If you want to see me, it will be much easier to come to Madrid!"

Ipswich ramp up bid to sign Newcastle midfielder Smith

Ipswich are hoping to persuade Newcastle midfielder Alan Smith to join them.

The 31-year-old is expected to be released by Newcastle although manager Alan Pardew may hold onto him until the end of the window as he has a threadbare squad and is struggling to bring in reinforcements within his budget.

Smith has only appeared twice for Newcastle this season, on both occasions as a late substitute and most recently in the 4-2 defeat at Norwich last month.

CSKA Moscow reject Flamengo's ?6m offer for Vagner Love

The prolific striker is confident that he will return to the Rio de Janeiro-based side, but the two clubs are still some distance apart regarding the transfer fee

The Brazilian club allegedly offered to pay ?6.1 million in several installments over the next five years, a proposal which falls short of CSKA's ambitions.

"Flamengo's offer is completely inadequate," CSKA spokesperson Sergei Aksenov is quoted by AFP as saying.

"We made them clearly understand that we are not willing to let him go for less than ?10m.

"This figure is clearly inferior to the player's value, but our board is willing to attend to his request, taking into account all he has done for CSKA."

Vagner Love has aired his wish to return to his homeland of Brazil after spending the last eight years of his career at the Russian capital club.

According to Globoesporte, Flamengo have scheduled a meeting with the striker on Friday to discuss personal terms.

The Brazil international enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Flamengo in 2010, netting 23 goals in 27 appearances for the Rio de Janeiro-based club.

Benfica line up Atletico Madrid's Eduardo Salvio as replacement for Enzo Perez - report

The Estadio da Luz outfit are allegedly interested in tying down the young winger to a permanent deal following Perez's self-imposed exile in Argentina

Benfica are weighing up a January move for Atletico Madrid winger Eduardo Salvio, Record suggests.

The Portuguese club are believed to be in the market for a new right-sided attacker following Enzo Perez's refusal to return to Lisbon following his Christmas holidays.

Perez, who moved to Benfica in the summer in a ?5.5 million deal, has made it clear he wants to return to Estudiantes after a disappointing start to his career in Europe, with a knee injury restricting him to just four appearances to date.

However, the Estadio da Luz outfit are holding out for a cash deal, while Estudiantes are only interested in signing the 25-year-old on a temporary basis.

Salvio spent the 2010-11 season on loan at Benfica, becoming an integral part of the team which finished second in the Portuguese Liga.

He returned to Atletico at the end of the campaign hoping to prove himself at Atletico, but opportunities have been hard to come by at the Vicente Calderon.

Earlier in the week, Salvio admitted he would like to return to Benfica some day, but he stressed on Thursday there have not been any negotiations with the Portuguese club.

Dijon have announced on their official website that they have secured the loan signing of Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old winger returns to his native France, having recently endured unsuccessful temporary spells with Fulham and Bolton in the Premier League.

The youngster revealed on Monday that he had been attracted by the Ligue 1 club's attractive brand of football.

Kakuta arrived back at Stamford Bridge from his spell with Owen Coyle's Bolton at the end of December, having featured six times for the Trotters in all competitions and scoring one goal.

The Frenchman was the subject of controversy following his move to Chelsea from Lens in 2009, with Fifa initially ruling that he had breached his contract in moving to England, fining Kakuta and imposing a transfer ban on the Blues.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport later lifted the sanctions on both player and club.

Dijon, who were promoted from Ligue 2 last season, are currently in 15th place in the French top division.

PSG to open Tevez talks

Paris Saint-Germain has emerged as the latest club to join the chase for Carlos Tevez.

Italian giants Inter Milan are trying to strike a deal with Manchester City for the striker , but it is understood Tevez's representatives will also now open talks with PSG.

The Argentinian forward is hoping to seal a move away from Manchester City during the January transfer window, but the Barclays Premier League leaders are determined to ensure the price is right in order to avoid suffering too great a loss on their outlay on the player in the summer of 2009.

PSG are now one of the main players in European football after a summer takeover by Qatar Sports Investments and are one of the few clubs with the financial muscle to recruit Tevez.

The 27-year-old remains in Argentina, his career on hold having refused to return to City even though the furore and disciplinary action over his non-appearance against Bayern Munich in a Champions League match in September has now been resolved.

He was signed by City for a reported £32million in July 2009 after his advisers were unable to agree terms with Manchester United, having first gained Premier League experience with West Ham.

PSG have already invested heavily since their Middle Eastern buyout, with former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti brought in on lucrative terms to coach a side containing another Argentinian, playmaker Javier Pastore, who cost a reported 43million euros (just under £36million) when he joined from Palermo.

They were also linked with a move to sign former England captain David Beckham, who has instead re-signed for Los Angeles Galaxy.

Paris St Germain sporting director Leonardo has confirmed the French club have ended their interest in Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez after failing to agree a deal.

The free-spending Ligue 1 club - who are also chasing Chelsea defender Alex - have been consistently linked with the unsettled Argentinian forward in recent weeks as he looks to leave the Barclays Premier League.

Tevez's advisor Kia Joorabchian had travelled to Paris to meet with senior club officials, including sporting director Leonardo and new coach Carlo Ancelotti. Tevez has also been pursued by Italian sides AC Milan and Inter Milan among others and Leonardo has confirmed they have been unable to strike a deal for the striker.

"We stopped the negotiations," he told L'Equipe. "At the moment there is not much movement in the market.

"There was an opportunity, we have studied it, we made a good offer but failed to agree a deal. We will not pay excessively so we stop. It's over."

The Brazilian former World Cup winner did, however, confirm they are chasing Alex and Inter Milan midfielder Thiago Motta.

"Both of them are possibilities but for now, nothing is done," he revealed.

VAGNER RETURNS FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE

Flamengo have signed striker Vagner Love from Russian side CSKA Moscow, the Brazilian club confirmed on their website.

The 27-year-old Brazil international, who spent six months on loan at Flamengo in 2010, has signed a contract that ties him to the Rio de Janeiro outfit until December 2014.

Rio-born Love said on www.flamengo.com.br: "I'm very very happy indeed to return to the club of my heart. It will be great to wear the shirt without having to leave six months later. I'll stay for a long time and I want to win, win and win. I want to win every possible title with the club."

Love started his career with Palmeiras in 2002 before moving to CSKA two years later.

The prolific forward scored 117 goals in 244 games for the Russian club and helped them win numerous domestic titles as well as the 2005 UEFA Cup.

He added on CSKA's official website, www.pfc-cska.com: "I'm taking with me from Russia some great memories.

"During my seven years I have always felt the love and support of both the club and the fans. CSKA will always be an important part of my life."
