We have reached agreement for the transfer of Roman Pavlyuchenko to Lokomotiv Moscow.

The striker joined us from Spartak Moscow in August 2008 and went on to score 42 goals in 113 appearances.

We thank Roman for his contribution and wish him every success for the future.

EVERTON LOAN FOR PIENAAR

Steven Pienaar has joined Everton on loan for the rest of the season.

The South Africa international joined from us from the Goodison Park side last January and has gone on to make 18 First Team appearances, scoring one goal.

SEB LOAN TO WOLVES

Sebastien Bassong has joined Wolves on loan for the rest of the season.

The former Metz defender joined us from Newcastle in July 2008 and has made 73 appearances in our colours, scoring three goals.

其實我覺得佢係有料的, 只不過上陣機會真係唔多

熱刺都可以叫人材殺手, 芥蘭+派拿+杜斯山度士其實都係好波之人, 但係哈利叔個千年不變正選陣真係用唔著佢地

"It wasn't about the money, it was about ambition," Pienaar says of his decision. "We want to fight and to play every game at the highest level and play in the Champions League and that's what I want every season, and that's why I made the decision to join Spurs."

It is a strange comment, given that Tottenham are enjoying their first season of Champions League football while Chelsea have qualified for the past eight. "The decision I made may not be the right one, but I followed my heart and prayed for the answer. Joining Tottenham was the answer," he says. "I asked a lot of people and some said go to Chelsea, some said go to Spain, some said go to Tottenham. Some may not like it but this is my decision. If I fail then it's my responsibility."
